V busy on a Friday Eve but the staff got my internet-placed order bang on time. Great fish and near-perfect chips.

This place used to do great food and appropriate portions. The food is still ok but no better than any good chippie. This was a "large" portion of chips. Pitifully small.
I only hope they made a mistake on the order.
Update 2.9.23 have been back. Didn't let them know who I was and the portions were normal chippy size and great fish. Updated rating.

First time try them, the cod fish is very good quality, chip was ok, i little bit soggy, not horrible but if a little bit more crispier it will be better. Over all is all good. Curry sauce with good taste. Will go back again.

Just back from our family holiday and needed Frydales Fish & Chips- it did not disappoint!
The fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were spot on. I’d highly recommend.

Used the 30% off voucher as was our first time eating from this chippy, and fed our family of 6 for just £12... we are all stuffed! The food was all freshly cooked and served by Mandy. Even though I drove to the other side of town, to eat at home, it was all still hot! Absolutely beautiful... will definitely return.

My local chippy, prices are reasonable considering the current high cost of fish, staff are always very friendly and attentive. Most of the times I've been, the fish and chips is excellent, only loses one star because the last two times it was slightly less good quality, the batter was a bit more greasy than usual and didn't adhere to the fish as well. Otherwise it's normally very good!
