These guys have just catered for us - a group of eleven vegans. Absolutely amazing meal - been a vegan 22yrs and this is the best meal I've experienced for eating out. A full on vegan cheese board with a nice selection of cheeses, fruit and crackers for starters, a vegan pizza menu and then dessert
Fantastic pub with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the music selection is pretty decent too.
The draw to the pub is the wide variety of Pizzas and they're all made fresh to a great standard. Rarely had a bad night there.
A good venue for live entertainment (music and comedy during the festival) along with real ale and excellent made from scratch pizza. Better under this management but they used to have an extensive range of real cider, this is down to just one most nights now. The stage could do with a serious refu

Great little hidden gem of a pub. Doesn't look it from the outside, but I encourage you to go in and choose from there quite good range of real ales or ciders, them cow down on a homemade pizza.
What more do you need from a little pub like this?
Been on my list of pubs to visit for a while now, and I finally got the opportunity a couple of weeks ago. It looks, from the outside, to be one of those pubs that, well, if you get out alive you're doing OK. LOL. How wrong one can be. Quirky, fantastic selection of real ales, knowledgeable bar staf
I don't usually drink here but do stop by on a night out for a pint and a fresh pizza. Nice staff too. They gave us a free pizza when they messed up an order for me and 4 of my mates.
Comedy Festival was great. Looks a dive from the outside but really cosy and comfy on the inside. Vegan Pizza amazing the 12" was about 20" and the staff were really friendly.
Always liked this place, real ale pub with a good selection and proper old social club vibe with stage in the back room for music, comedy etc. etc. Well worth a visit if you like your real ale and always a friendly face. Not the newest of interiors but that adds to the experience in my view!
Great pub, huge selection of real ales and beers and ciders. Epic handmade pizzas too! Very friendly bar staff too!!
A lively, well-established city centre venue with plenty of regular activities, including music and quizzes. The Criterion boasts a wide selection of excellent local, national and international beers, while the pizzas are particularly recommended.
Excellent proper beer pub. Very friendly atmosphere, and I don't think I've ever been in here when it's not very busy!
A great hidden gem . Great choice of beers and lovrly pizzas. So cheap too. Show football and music/comedy shows. Must visit more often 😋😊

Best Pub In Leicester, Great ales great pizza and a great atmosphere. Go there drink and eat you will not be disapointed
Great beers, good company, friendly staff and perhaps the best venue at the Leicester Comedy Festival (every year in February).
