We had our wedding reception here. The venue was perfect for afternoon tea and then a boozy disco in the evening accompanied with the best pies ever! The staff were amazing in the build up and on the day (Fab, Gemma, Keira Alastair et. al.). We cannot thank them enough for making out day the best ever- would recommend this as a wedding venue to anyone.
Lovely place with excellent and polite staff. Would fully recommend everyone to try it
The architecture is iconic, the staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious - it blew away expectations.
The restaurant's top-notch service started before we even arrived, too, with a friendly phone call to arrange a booking the night before.
To top it all off, the price was a surprise - in a good way! It's definitely one of the most affordable options in Leicester city centre, which is surprising given the excellent quality, location, and atmosphere.
I really like this pub. Interesting building with plenty of seating areas outside and in. Staff are fab and friendly. We have eaten here a few times and has been great service every time. The food is fab! Tried the burger on my last visit and we were both surprised how bloody lovely it was. Full marks for presentation too! The desserts!😍 Great location too, especially when there's a band on in the square. Really relaxed pub. Love it!
Enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends. Good choice of menu & food ordered certainly didn't disappoint as well presented & very tasty.
Lovely warm atmosphere & nothing was too much trouble for the waitress. We will definitely make a return visit.
That place is amazing! Combining the historical interior with the modern attitude towards the customers. The food and the bear are simply delicious. I loved the atmosphere there.
Built in 1490 this place oozes history being Leicester oldest standing building
Extremely
Good pub. Sunday roast is one of the most superb to be served. Definitely in house made and not microwaved produce. Highly recommend also
Staff very happy and friendly. Drinks price slightly high would be only comment
Leicester isn't the nicest place in the world but this pub managed to take you away from all that, we sat outside, lovely enclosure and green space.
The food was sublime, a little bit pricey but the quality is worth it, the sauces come in a funny bucket and the staff are wonderful.
The burger seen here was amazing, juicy, the salad balanced it well, a side order of chips went a long way with it, the pasta was nice, a light sauce that was fragrant and fresh.
The Haloumi Fries... This must be the only place where Haloumi Fries haven't suffered due to the cost of living, £6 for 5 large Haloumi Fries and chilli jam, brilliant!
This place might give us a reason to come.back to Leicester!
When you finish work and want a nice pint in the shade (or sun for those mad people) I head to Wygston House..
Lovely pint, steins (awesome)
Great food.. good service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Been coming here a while and always made to feel welcome and looked after.
Beautiful old building, a great mix of clientele. A wonderful choice of wines and beers. Staff really friendly and helpful. A great place for anyone to visit over and over again.
We took my mum for her Birthday today. The food was delicious and so well presented and the staff were very friendly. The service provided by Elliott was excellent! Thank you
