Decent family ran chippy. Friendly, nice staff. Bit of a wait, but the food was nice, cod was thick and had a lovely delicate flavour. Batter was crispy in most parts but slightly under cooked in the thicker parts. Over all I give this a 4 ⭐ review. Very friendly staff.

I was served by Daniel. My sister had come over last weekend to visit so we treated ourselves to fish n chips! I call before hand, my food was ready when we got there. We ordered 3 lots of large fish n chips, 2 battered sausages and 2 large curry sauces. All the portions were of a good size. Fish n Chips were hot and delicious 😋 Yum. Thank you Gipsy Lane Chippy.

I am not from Leicester, but was told about this chip shop. A friend of mine who lives in Leicester recommended it. I have to say I was very impressed. Perfect cod and chips. The lady's working are very nice and chatty. Will definitely be back again when I am next in Leicester. The cod had lovely batter and I would recommend them if you want a good fish and chips meal. I also had a pukka chicken and mushroom pie which was good.
