This is a wonderful idea, great coffee (literally the best I've ever tasted) and a great help to a part of the community that gets overlooked far too often.
It's just the sort of venture the world needs and I'm chuffed have it in my home town.
What a truly amazing project this is! How many people in the throws of starting up a new project, and all that entails, would not just think about getting their business off the ground, but also who within the community they can help along the way? Not many! Good luck guys, you deserve it! ���
If you love coffee you have to try Leicester coffee house! They roast their own beans and use good milk and you can really tell it's good quality coffee. The baked goods are also lovely, my daughter loved the vegan choc cake and I love the carrot cake.
We moved to Leic from London which had some great coffees and searched for ages for a decent coffee shop here and this has to be the best we've had! I just wish we lived closer so we could get it more often :D
The coffee is consistently amazing, if you love proper coffee this is for you. I love trying the different beans that they bring in. All of the staff are absolutely lovely and Tommo is is the loveliest dog!
Small cosy place, great coffee and the cutest hostess ever. Got to chat with the owner of the place, they were so friendly. He mentioned that they rescued this beautiful dog while they were on a vacation in Spain. The only thing that there aren't many options of pastries.
Really love the friendliness of the barista and the flat white was really good too (with Nicaragua beans)!
Also tried the oat porridge, it's soft and sweet, and can taste the freshness of the cashew nuts added.
Very eco-friendly too, so innovative to re-use oat milk carton as a cup holder!
Would definitely go again to try the other coffee beans.
Took my parents to visit what I believe to be the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. They all agreed. Just gorgeous. So smooth and beautiful. Cakes were also lovely - I had the vegan choc cake which was delicious. Such friendly service from the gentleman owner too. Whenever we visit Leicester we will come back for the best coffee around! If you appreciate good quality coffee then you’d struggle to find a better place than this :)
One of the BEST coffees I’ve ever had! It was a wonderful tasting coffee. The homemade traditional Bakewell tart was very delicious and tasty! The person serving us was very nice and friendly. Will be visiting next time I’m in Leicester!
Excellent espresso (best I've had in Leicester).
Friendly service (very quick to bring it to the table, said nothing about me eating my own food in the cafe... I went up later to buy food).
& very close to the train station, what's not to like?!
P. S. All bakery items are homemade except croissants. And the croissants look good!
I’ve been coming here for the last few years and it’s my favourite coffee house in Leicester. Aaron and Gail are friendly welcoming owners who roast their own coffee and bake all of their own cakes and snacks. There are two roasts to choose from at any one time and prices are very reasonable for an independent place.
Try the granola! Vegan option available and homemade and served beautifully. What I love about this place apart from the food and drink is the special atmosphere created by the convivial owners. The dog is quite nice too! Support local and try this place out.
Probably the best coffee in Leicester, roasted in-store. I can definitely recommend the homemade Lemon Drizzle and Carrot & Walnut cakes.
