Booked lunch for 6 for the MIL's birthday on a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. Pleasantly greeted and seated quickly. The Menu selection looked good with many tempting options.
We ordered various starters and mains, as well as drinks. The drinks arrived quickly as did the starters. The mains were brought to us shortly after we finished our first course.
The food was delicious, I do our cooking at home and we don't often go out as I hate paying for food that is sub par to my own and I have to say Axe & Square hit the mark, I would happily eat there over and over again.
It was so good we went back the week later for my own birthday lunch, again we were well looked after and the food was first rate.
My faves; Tex Mex Chicken Strips Starter and the Gochujang Chicken Loaded Naan.

We had a lovely meal for our 5 year old granddaughter’s birthday. The staff were very friendly and sang happy birthday to her and she was very surprised. The food was delicious, a couple of items were a little salty but nothing worth complaining about and the portions were more than ample. The car park is a little small and has no disabled parking spaces but we managed to find a space. Overall we had a nice meal. Also there was live music in the garden when we came out.
This is the second time we've been and the service has been amazing, aslo the food......but this time we had a little hiccup with our steak.
The only reason it hasn't got a full 5* for the food was because our rare fillet steak was cooked medium. But it was still very nice.
Carpark is a little small, but there is paid parking just round the corner

First time going to the axe and square since moving to countesthorpe and we were all very impressed. The food was amazing, best greek meal i have had in a long time and everyone said how amazing their meal was from the hunters chicken to the risotto…And puddings just WOW specially the cheesecake. Service was great and all staff very friendly. We will definitely be retuning soon
We had a lovely family meal out at the Axe and Square today. Delicious food, kids meals were great. The service (especially Amy) was first class. I’d definitely recommend and go again!
We have been on several occasions and the food has always been amazing. This particular night didn't disappoint, it was extremely busy, the service was fantastic (especially Kate).
Would definatley recommended and looking forward to our next visit.
Had an evening meal here at the weekend and we were impressed. The refurbishment has been very tastefully done. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The menu is a good balance of pub classics and some more unusual dishes. All our mains were served on hot plates and were delicious. Our desserts were equally as fabulous. Our drinks were replenished frequently. We are already looking forward to visiting again soon.
Really love this restaurant. I’m vegetarian and love every meal they have here, even though I’m a very picky eater. The staff are so friendly and lovely. It’s the place to go if you want a lovely time with friends and family.
We visited last Saturday evening for the first time and was not disappointed. Lovely friendly welcome. Fantastic food and drinks and the staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere!!! Great pub can't wait to go back. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Really easy to book on the day and the trio of meats sunday roast has always been the winner winner, turkey, lamb & beef winner.
