Finally got round to using our Xmas gift for a comedy night and booked The Big Difference in Leicester. Didn't know what to expect as never been before and was shocked at first to find it was in the middle of the high St shopping, just looked like a shop front at first look, but when inside it has a bar and a small seating area and down stairs was the cellar !! where there was a small stage and rows of chairs (a bit uncomfortable) for upto 250 people, compact but cosy. 3 comedians and a compare, 2 of which we're very funny and one not so, but each to their own. All in a lovely night and would definitely go again.

Great comedy club.Small but perfectly sized venue for the more intimate show.Bar is situated on ground floor with extra seating and quieter area upstairs..ideal for a pre show chat. The basement is where the action happens. Saw Rosie Jones there for a very reasonable price (sat 12th Feb 2022). Will be back.

Quick visit for last comedy gig of the Leicester comedy festival. Lovely refurb of The Cookie and great pics on the walls. Hope to come again next year for longer!!

Quite a cosy venue. We came here as part of the comedy festival to see Ivo Graham. Who was extremely funny. Plus they serve Very good beer.
