The food was hot and served quickly, but I ordered a burger and it was as tough as old boots! We asked if we could use the car park as we were heading to Leigh Sports Village so long as we stopped for food, this was agreed and the team were great

Lunchtime meal and a pint. We had been to this pub in sunnier times, for a pint. Decided to return to try the daytime menu, oops, not a good experience! Don't get me wrong here, the pub, staff, garden are all top notch. The food is well priced but quality suffers, maybe for that reason. We chose to go fish and chips, just under £13:00 each (plus mushy peas) greasy fish, chips that looked to be the last out of a freezer bag and tinned mushy peas. On the menu for the evening session this was written up as Cod and chips (on the website) My advise here is to dine in the evening, pay the extra for Cod!

I wanted to thank the staff and the manager for being nice to us when, we had an issue, it was resolved quickly and in a professional manner , i couldnt ask for a better experience in getting the situation resolved... thank you and i came here last year for full rack of ribs and there the best i had, beat TGI fridays hands down... I have just ordered a cheese and bacon burger and looks and tastes gorgeous, thank you robin hood team.. all the best for the new year..

Excellent pub. Warm sunny day, and we spent our time in the great beer garden along with everyone else. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff superb friendly and helpful and will be going back again

2019 Called in for a late lunch after busy day , staff very friendly , food absolutely gorgeous, i had the Tomato and Basil Bruschetta and Friend had the Prawn Cocktail both delicious, main course I had Grilled Haloumi Salad very yummy and friend had the Minted Lamb Shank , lamb was falling off the bone again very yummy ,pleased to say the Robin Hood has a huge gluten free menu which for a member of my family is an added bonus as being a coeliac she has to be extremely careful on what she eats, asked for a menu to give her and was handed one no problem full marks for that and a definite thumbs up and will be coming her in the near future . AUGUST 2020 , first time in pub since pandemic started , arrived at pub , temperature taken and details left at door , directed one way system to dining area for meal , spotless , order for drinks and meal taken menu dispose off once order taken , drinks and cutlery brought out first then meal arrived no fuss , waiter wore shield over face , meal a delight , friend had dessert which was scrumptious, paid by contactless, directed out via beer garden , top Mark's to all . September 2020 called in with friend after errands , chose the meal deal £10 per person for starters and main , plates just right size for meals for us , started with the pate which was yummy and then had the sausage and mash with peas , friend had the prawn cocktail and then the chicken with peppercorn sauce which she too enjoyed , safety measures still intact which was good to see , taking cash payments too

Great place to pop into for lunch if you're in the area. Having just been to Pennington flash it was a well deserved lunch. Proper home cooked food.
