Friendly welcome and well kept ale at this large country pub. Various drinking areas and large restaurant with an interesting menu. Big garden with plenty of seating (some covered) next to the large car park.
Wanted to visit since the refurb last year, saw some reviews about slow service when they did reopen so waited to give things a chance to settle in. We went for Sunday lunch and it's a generous 4 stars. Food wise, the starters were good and tasty but took a little while to come out considering they
Great little pub, welcome dogs, nice garden and very smart. Only had drinks and chips but all good.
Definitely a pub where you want to go back to. The service is lovely and very attentive, the food is really good too, and for a reasonable price. We have been here twice already, and both the starters, the pie and the Sunday roast were really yummy. They also have live music on Friday evenings :) S
Popped in for lunch with the wife on Thursday. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back, keep up the good work!
We had a lovely meal, and I had desert as eyes bigger than my belly. Staff were friendly and helpful. One young lady had just started that day, and she managed the drink order ok. We will pop in again when we down this way . 10/10
Went for dinner last night and we were very impressed. The pub decor, lighting and ambience were lovely, as were the staff and the food. Great beer too, Neck Oil, Landlord, Hobgoblin Gold and Black Sheep, all on draught. Couldn't fault it. We will be back!
The sharing platter was delicious and fresh. It’s the perfect country pub with a cosy log fire. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Recommend a visit.
Have loved this little find where I visit once or twice a year. Always loved it, but today was wonderful . New management I think. Service A-class and food A-mazing. Thank you x
I'd previously visited the boot a few times, before covid and not long after covid after new management had taken over... It was not great after covid, the good news is, it's being ran by a new team which I've got to say we're very welcoming and polite. Food was was not largest portions but of a de
This is a stunning pub. The food is amazing!!! The presentation is second to none. Staff are just wonderful! Relaxed happy atmosphere. Dogs welcome in the bar which is a huge bonus! It's well lit, the ambience is lovely in the restaurant. The bar area is cosy and relaxed. With sofas, benches and com
The bar staff are just so lovely. I’d had a hard day and they really cheered me up. They deserve more business. The main carpark is just slightly up the hill from the building and plenty of space.
Sat by the cosy fire with a few drinks with my family before heading into the restaurant for dinner. The food was traditional & really nice. Was extremely busy as a Friday night but service was still personable & of a high standard. Great atmosphere in a beautiful village. Would highly recommend.
Such a lovely place! The food was delicious, we had such amazing service from the staff and a big friendly welcome as soon as we stepped in. Atmosphere was perfect. Will definitely return!
Un planed drink and evening meal, Very helpful staff, food was excellent, new management finding their feet, 10 out-of 10 for effort. Keep up the good work, Will go back again very soon, hard to find good people putting in in the effort. A big thumbs-up.
