Went today for afternoon tea and loved it! Would certainly recommend and already can’t wait to find time to go for another!
Had lunch with friends sitting in the sun. Very good friendly service matched with excellent food, wine & a beer. What else could anyone want, good food, good drink, good service and wonderful company. Perfick.
Went for lunch on a sunny day and had one of the best pub lunches at the Ship Inn Levington.
The lamb dish was a daily special, and was so tender, it paired extremely well with the potato cake, mash and veggies.
The wagyu beef burger was just what you would want in a burger. Cooked to perfection served with delicious chips.
We also went for the Duck Gyoza and Homemade Onion rings, which again were exquisite.
Alongside the food, the location was spectacular, with a lovely nature walk just opposite the restaurant. Would recommend going on a sunny day for some amazing food and a great nature walk.
Lovely traditional inn with a distant view of the river Orwell. The Ship is situated in the beautiful Suffok village of Levington. Reasonably good selection on their usual menu with separate specials menu available. The food was excellent. We sat inside as the weather was indifferent but outside seating is available for when the weather is kinder. Staff were friendly and helpful. This venue was recommended to us and we were not disappointed.
Food quality was excellent, the sea-bass fillets tasted really fresh. Dogs friendly place just a short distance from Levingston Lagoon nature reserve.
Apologies for the lack of food photo's (it wasn't our priority!) I can say though that it was served beautifully and enjoyed by all ;D There was a delay in drinks due to the changing of the barrel (which did take quite some time so was slightly irritating) and one of the mains had been missed from the order - but no real issue as this was supplied promptly. The walk to and from and the views there, together with the friendly staff and ambience allows me to give a 5* review. I do hope others enjoy this wonderful location.
Good pub, we stop here half way round our walk. Outdoor seating and an indoor section for dogs. Good for gluten free.
My partner and I enjoyed a ‘proper tasty’ Sunday roast at The Ship Inn this evening. Big plate. Plenty of gravy. Nicely cooked veg with two lovely slices of beef. Great service. Attentive and engaging. We will be back. Thank you. [16.07.2023]
Main meals were absolutely lovely, we had pork belly (but the crackling was overdone and inedible) and sea bass. My treacle tart dessert was overdone and only had a little bit of ice cream to go with it. Service was the biggest let down, very slow and not attentive.
Absolutely lovely welcome, great service, food was unbelievably good. BBQ belly pork ribs and a Jaffa cake sundae dessert.
Will visit again soon.
Perfect way to enjoy great company,..was taken to have lunch by friends, and wasn't disappointed..
I had the cromer crab..salad new potatoes,..sorry there isn't any photographic shots of the food,..I'm old school ..I eat before I think about a camera,..but it was super delicious..the rest had an array of sausage and mash,..seafood platter,...and a good old pint of prawns...
I had food envy, even though mine was ,like I said... delicious ..great way to be entertained,..very clean..
Service was quick,..but not rushed....and payment,...was thanks to my dear friends,..but would I recommend...yes I would...highly!!
Stopped off for a pint (or two) on my bike ride Didn't have food but the menu looked amazing (I'll be back for some at some point!).
Beer was good, plenty of options and the staff were polite and friendly.
Looking forward to going back, have already told the wife.
