A pub I’d happily be snowed in but it was July! The feeling of being welcomed really hit us as we entered not just because of the ambiance but also the personal touch of the staff. As we’d driven for two and more hours this stop off was much appreciated and to be truthful we weren’t expecting anything exceptional. But how wrong your perception can be! Excellent food although we all chose fish & chips it was done well the haddock was delightful. Would come back but as on the way to a wedding in Bainbridge can’t see a reason other than a good day out to revisit.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch! It certainly didn’t disappoint! We reserved a table all the way from Canada strictly on the fact we were staying in the area and this pub looked nice.. We met some friends for the Sunday lunch and were thrilled with the food and the very entertaining chef! Definitely going back here on our next trip back to England!!

Lovely cosy pub, lovely food and lovely staff. And also nice area to sit out in for a drink and take in the view. Very handy if your staying at the campsite. Will come again.

Drove up to the Street Head pub last night to celebrate my daughters birthday. We were served by a lovely young man who was polite and most helpful and did not keep us waiting at all. Food was fabulous - in fact the chips were amazing, the best we’ve ever tasted. Also had breakfast here last year for my daughters birthday. Food great on both occasions and will definitely visit again.

Great pub, very welcoming and friendly. I went for the Sunday carvery which was very nice. Vegetables were a bit limited but to be honest I didn’t have much room left anyway apart from for pudding! The only reason 4 star instead of 5 is that they seemed to have hiked the prices and not updated the website and also no prices advertised anywhere inside about the carvery. Was happy to pay the extra but just came as a bit of a shock.

Cracking pub to stay in, close to Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle etc. The views were lovely as were the Hosts. Fab beer garden area too (there is an outside area for eating) with views of the countryside. Stayed in Room 1 which was a lovely size with a big bathroom. It had absolutely everything you needed and left the curtains open to wake up to the view! Fab Full English Breakfast too!! Thanks for a great stay!

Great place to stay. I used to work in hospitality and I very rarely experienced this level of great service. It is a family owned place and the Landlord knows the trade well. The food was beautiful and the chef very friendly and knowledgeable ( I did not know that banana has 3 segments :) ) If you are looking for a place to stay or eat in the area - don't look any more - this is your place!

Wonderful small and family run pub in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Wonderfully welcoming to us and our dog. Room was cosy and simple but really wonderful and the view was spectacular. The included breakfast was excellent but our evening meal stole the show. The lamb cutlets were just amazing! Would highly recommend!
