Took my step-mum here for her birthday and it was amazing. The food was plentiful and really tasty, so well presented. We had wraps, finger sandwiches with various fillings, potato wedges, tortilla chips, chocolate cake, cream cake and scones with jam and cream and tea and coffee. Absolutely brilliant. The staff were lovely and very efficient and friendly. I highly recommend it.

We were told to inform the cafe if we wanted afternoon tea within 48 hours of our visit so I called on Tuesday to confirm that we would like afternoon tea on the Saturday but when we got there the staff said they hadn't been informed so it would take a while to make them up. When we did get the food eventually it was quite nice, especially the scone, and it was good value for money.

Booked an afternoon tea here for a birthday celebration having read previous good reviews and was not disappointed at all. Opted for the de luxe tea, varied selection of sandwich fillings, cup of soup, sausage roll , large scone with butter, jam and clotted cream and finally selection of full size not miniature cakes. Also included in the price was tea or coffee , the quality on offer was excellent and at what I regarded as a very reasonable price. I would add that the rural setting was quiet and ideal for those wishing to get away from a noisier environment and where you can sit and enjoy conversations without distractions- apart from the food of course.

My first visit. My Mum has been before. We had the luxury afternoon tea. It consisted of: Savouries: Sweet potato, butternut squash and leek soup. Egg mayonnaise, Roast chicken, Tuna and mayonnaise and ham sandwiches, crisps and a sausage roll. Sweets: Large coffee renoir (From "All you knead" in Chorley). Caramel shortcake a slice of chocolate cake and lemon cake as well as a scone, jam and cream. There is also a good choice of hot drinks. At £15 per person it was excellent value. We couldn't manage to finish it all and had to bring some home! The premises are rustic in decor and are wheelchair accessible, outside seating is also available. A great spot overlooking the pond and a great place to bring children. Booking is required for afternoon tea, however walk-ins are welcome. I would definitely come again.

Great little place , it's busy most of the time , eating in or out, clean toilets, nice staff, play park for kids next door and the beautiful lake to take a walk around, parking again busy but we expected this

Had lunch here. Only a small little coffee house, with little lake right next to it, with ducks, fish. There's also donkeys, ponies, chickens there. Popular with young families at weekend. Simple menu, but portions very generous. My tuna cheese melt was really delightful. Had a coffee renoir too it was much bigger than my hand and it was about £3.50, that's not bad, is it? Location is great and if you fancy a drink instead, there was a pub next to it too.

Had afternoon tea here for the second time. Food was presented lovely. However I feel 4 huge cakes are really to much for one person! Would rather have less cake and maybe more savory as we only had 4 triangle sandwiches each. But a lovely experience. We were provided with a snack box to take out cakes home 🏡
