What a gem of a find.
Lovely location by the canal and a 5 minute walk from our camp site.
Very warm welcome, and I would recommend booking beforehand as we went at 5 pm and it was already starting to get busy.
The kids' menu looks pretty standard until it arrives at the table. My daughter had the b
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere! The sunday roast was beautiful and very well cooked, very generous portions! The white choc cheesecake was also amazing!! Will deffo be returning to try other options. Only thing I'd say is that the service was a little on the slow side.
Great food, we had Fillet Stroganoff and Rack of BBQ ribs ππ.
Both were delicious!
Really great food, good atmosphere, and nice setting next to the canal. Absolutely recommend.
Edit: we returned today, 2 Jan, and the food was just as good as last time. The sharing camembert was π―
Edit 2: we returned in early March, and the carvery was disappointing, to say the least. Burned pota
12/10! The best food we have had on our entire 3 week trip! Going to be a must stop next time weβre in town!
Really enjoyed the food. Good size portions and presented well. Good range of beers too. You can only eat in the bar if you have a dog. It gets busy at weekends so recommend booking ahead. My only niggle was that there wasn't enough custard to go with the apple crumble π
Booked a table for two and the manager recognised us immediately and got the waitress to sit us and take a drinks order. Very quickly back to take our food order. The fish and chips were fabulous, huge portion of fish and proper chip shop chips, absolutely delicious. The service and food were first
1st time of being here and I had fish and chips. Small portion but you wouldn't have thought it was small the portions was a very good size. The Minted mushy peas were to die for!!! The staff made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be visiting again soon x
Lovely food, plentiful, good quality, fast service and friendly staff. Dog friendly too.
Our walk got rained off so we headed here. Was busy but they found us a table. The food is excellent. The place looks great especially with the lights. The babies where mesmerized. There was a live singer outside that sounded great.
We ate there twice in a week. Food was great, portions good. Service was good and the atmosphere was of a buzzy local pub. It made the beginning and end of our canal holiday with friends.
Went to this place for lunch after our canal boat trip . We were 8 plus one little one in our group. We had done a reservation. The staff were most welcoming. Nice selection of drinks and variety of items on menu to chose from. Large selection for the vegetarian as well. The potion sizes are big.All
Wow !!! Ordered the small fish and chips as neither of us eat big meals, the meal that came was huge and delicious. We were very impressed . Highly recommended
Absolutely tops! Try the Big Ben Burger if you are really hungry. The roasts were good, too, with huge portions. We will definitely be back.
Excellent all round country and canalside pub. Very courteous and helpful staff. First class quality food, excellent range of drinks and relaxing ambient atmosphere.
Superb location....what more could you want !!
Only popped in for a lunchtime drink on way to campsite. 1st impressions were good. Good service, friendly staff. Atmosphere was good. Clean and tidy. Going back later for food as reviews were good.
Lovely country pub. Good range of drinks and a cracking setting by the canal. Popped in for a panini and pint. Reasonably priced and good grub. Tasty and well presented.
Our go to Sunday lunch in Lichfield. Never fails to disappoint. Weβve been on other nights too and the normal menu is also great. Friendly staff and good service.
