Just had the Chicken I won in the hamper from Chilley Farm Shop and I must say it was absolutely delicious everyone at dinner commented how moist and tasty it was I also brought potatoes which we cooked today and they were great we brought a lemon cake and some homemade savoury snacks which were also delicious I would definitely give them a 5* for their food products and I would recommend them to anyone. Once again thank you for my lovely meat hamper which I won on Facebook and a Happy Easter to you all
Lovely selection of fresh veg and meat and a good selection of food in the shop plus the best homemade beef stew we have tasted absolutely full of succulent pieces of meat.
Called in several times as a family member lives nearby. The shop is amazing in both the scope of "farm" produce and the quality. Afternoon tea is fabulous and I recently called in twice, on consecutive mornings, for breakfast. Easily the best purchased breakfasts that I have had in a long while. I cannot urge visitors in the area enough, it's a must visit.
I recommend, the farm is big, there’s strawberries. Lavender, sunflower and little animal area with pigs and small horses. The cafe is descent. The farmshop is good too. Not so fond of the bakery.
First time at Strawberry Fields, it was a nice experience for the kids with lots to see and pumpkins galore.
It was annoying having to queue for food and then having to queue for drinks as the different vendors don't sell them so had to wait over 20 minutes.
Wellies recommended but you can do it in trainers.
The food was delicious and there was a great selection for lunch and dinner.
All of their ingredients tasted very fresh.
They do have high tea which you have to book in advance for.
They have a cream tea with fresh clotted cream and homemade jam. The scones are some of the best I have ever had.
Went to the lavender festival here, it was just lovely walking around with our son, picking lavender. We now have a nice bunch in our front room and it smells beautiful. The food and drinks here are always nice. Prices are mid/top range but the quality of produce is great. They do many seasonal events. There's a butcher, farm shop & restaurant. It gets very busy so best to book prior to visiting.
We all had a great day. Tasty, sweet strawberries and raspberries, great pasties. Children enjoyed your activity locations. Yes, it's not so cheap, but I don't regret it, emotions and well spent time with my family are priceless. Thank you 😊
Strawberry picking was alot of fun, good quality fruit! Strawberries and raspberries! We had an afternoon tea which was delicious! And a major credit to the restaurant the waiters and waitresses who were ever so polite and helpful, very friendly and made sure you had everything you wanted regularly, will definitely return.
This place saved my bacon on the way down to cornwall from yorkshire after 2 ev chargers let me down. 3 lots of pod points with 54kw rapid charger on all of them, 90p a kw but so be it atleast we have charge. The farm shop is fantastic too
Called in on holiday for refreshments and a look around the farm shop. The toilets were very modern and well equipped. We sat in the cafe having ordered hot drinks, a Chelsea bun and a slice of carrot cake. We both felt that the prices were higher than we would normally pay for similar refreshments in similar establishments but as we were on holiday we decided to treat ourselves. We sat on a sofa with a coffee table. The drinks and cakes were brought to us. Sadly the carrot cake was very disappointing. The sponge was rubbery with very small flecks of carrot and no other expected ingredients such as raisins etc and was certainly not worth £3.95p! We also noticed that our table had not been wiped off between customers as there were crumbs and liquid marks apparent. There were ample waiting staff on duty so it was not as if they were really busy and short staffed. We walked around the farm shop which has a lovely range of items for sale but again we felt it was more expensive than other similar outlets. Having enjoyed a family visit to Strawberry Fields several years ago I sadly don't think we plan to visit again in the future due to the prices.
Whilst in Cornwall my sister and brother-in-law treated myself, my other half, Julie and our daughter to Sunday lunch.
I and my daughter opted for the small roast beef (which in itself was rather large) and Julie had the lamb.
Now they do not scrimp on portion size here… there was lots of meat and plenty of veg too.
The staff were all very pleasant and friendly and made sure you weee satisfied with everything. They even offered us more gravy and also a bottle of water for free.
We decided upon a dessert too so opted for trifle and chocolate brownie. Both were delicious.
The restaurant area was packed and the noise level was slightly elevated in the huge dining area (high ceiling and acoustics caused everyone’s voices to be higher than should have been) but the experience was great nonetheless.
Prices were very reasonable to be fair.
Afterwards if you a feeling up to it you can enter into the shop where they sell local produce as well as other gifts and food items.
