National Fish and Chips Day, came down to Oysters this afternoon to celebrate national fish and chips day with my family, the service from start to finish was top quality and so was the food we ordered, quick and efficient service and amazing quality food from the team at Oysters, service with a smile and created a real atmosphere on the high street, fish and chips is struggling with food inflation and in decline, however these guys at Oysters are somehow bucking the trend, Fairplay to them.

I hate giving a negative review and We normally love Oysters fish and chips. However part of our order last night was very disappointing. One of our orders was for a kids fish and chips. The fish portion was really tiny and very dry and there were very few chips. Also the drink was missing. At over £5.00 we would have expected more. Really disappointing as we’d told our friends how good it always is.

Usually very good, sometimes when it's busy I've noticed the quality dips a bit but generally it's the best fish and chips locally. I really appreciate the haddock is apparently line caught. Mushy peas are ok but pea fritter is the bomb! Huge potions. Nice and crispy batter, slightly oily, very indulgent

Genuinely lovely fish and chip shop,it’s of other options too, have tried most and have never been disappointed, everything cooked fresh to order give them a try you won’t be disappointed :)

Much better than previously. It was going downhill a while back but they now seem to have pulled their socks up and the freshness has improved. Recent orders have been freshly cooked rather than off the shelf which is vital for this type of food.

Consistently good delicious food. We especially like their fried Haloumi. Cannot recommend it enough. Not my local chippy by far, but worth the extra drive each time. Polite staff too.

Great chips and fish was nice enough although a little small. I ordered a gherkin pickle which, on opening my paper wrapped meal, initially thought was a small jalapeno pepper. The smallest pickle I've ever seen. Disappointed somewhat.

Service was good fish cooked whilst I waited. The food was great we had haddock, chips, sausage and mushy peas and all was lovely will definitely be going back.
Reason for only 4 stars not 5 is that the app wouldn't work. The app sounds like a great idea particularly at the moment so hopefully it will work for me next time and I can give 5 stars.

A rather decent fish and chip shop, always busy, which I love, rather wait a little while and have chips straight out of fryer, and lovely crispy batter on my cod. Only problem for us is its just a little to far from home, and a 10 min drive means meal is cooling of by time we are home. Probably best to have it to eat now, and sit outside the shop and eat it there and then.
