Fantastic wee place.
It was clean and had everything you needed. Breakfast was a proper fry! The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Only complaint was it was cold and the wee heater took a long time to heat the room.
Will definitely stay again - I'll just remember my dressing gown next time 😁
No bathroom in the rooms only a sink but the bathroom was straight across from my room so very handy.
There is a bar here which is handy.
The breakfast was gorgeous.
The staff were lovely an kind an it's quite reasonably priced.

Stayed here last weekend. Staff were brilliant and just so friendly and wellcoming. Danielle, christina and i think alan was the lads name, couldnt do enough for us after we arrived into town very late in the evening looking for accommadation. Twin room was lovely, spotless clean, fresh and comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful and just fab! Would definitely reccomend a visit.
Lunch today was fantastic, great portions and excellent quality. Our waitress Shirley was very welcoming and attentive , a definite asset to the business. Highly recommended
We enjoyed a lovely lunch, served promptly by a very pleasant waitress. Nothing was too much bother in accommodating someone with coeliac disease. Would return if in the area.
Turned up unannounced on a Sunday morning wanting breakfast for 16 people after night out. We caught them of guard but unfazed they got the tables ready and served us all good time with no mistakes, with all 16 saying there breaky was great and just enough. Would recommend for Breakfast at least as can't comment on anything else.
Such a wonderful place to stay. The staff were so friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. I enjoyed every moment I stayed there.
Just a few words to say thank you to everyone at the Alexander Arms. Stayed Fri/sat night. Food lovely,drinks reasonable and breakfast was a joy. Staff were great- morning noon and night. Proprietor has a gem . Look forward to seeing everyone again. Ps don't be stupid like me and get a parking ticket outside the premises when you can park at back. have had a couple of takeaways from here really tasty and good value. can't wait until we are able to eat in after lock down.
