Fantastic food and lovely people, who really couldn't have done enough for us. Lovely place, with a great atmosphere and great location. Highly recommend!
We ordered takeaway food for 9 and our whole group loved it (6 adults and 3 kids). The vegetarian dishes were especially good!! The staff were so friendly and we enjoyed our complimentary drink. We live nearby so will definitely be back again and again. We will also recommend it to our holiday let guests!
Very positive experience. Staff are all very friendly and professional. Food was exceptional. My party started with the tandoori sampler. I felt that £11.95 was a bit much for a starter, even one for two diners. I changed my mind when I saw how much food came with that item. I was further impressed by the taste. Worth every penny. The mains we all selected were at the same level. I was especially impressed by the tandoori mix bhuna. Just enough heat to make things interesting with ample flavour.
Not Bad, but had better.. We went to CIR last night for the first time. The venue is a take away joint downstairs and a rather smart looking restaurant upstairs in a historic old building next to the back gate of Lincoln Castle. The food was ok, but nothing too special. Good variety on the menu but the usual Indian Restaurant fair. We tied 4 dishes, Lamb Pathia (always my favourite and my judge for comparing Indian Food), a Chicken KorRye, A Mixed Massala and a Garlic King Prawn. The food was well flavoured, good chilli heat without being overpowering but the food was tepid by the time we had it on our plates. The Massala dish was frankly horrible but the King Prawn was stunning, so a real mixed bag. Nans were good. Standard drinks as in any. But the place had a good feel, although absoloutly dead last night, another group only cam in as we just finished. The service was friendly and we had some good banter with our server. All in all, a mixed review, not at all bad, we would go back but its not the best ive had and I was a little dissapointed as the venue has such potential to be a higher end Indian restaurant. Good for a mid week curry.
The food is absolutely amazing! It was my first time eating there this week and it was the best Indian I've ever had! The service was a little odd, took us a while to get the tap water we asked for and they kept asking if we wanted poppadoms with the water. But everything else was superb
A huge thank you to all the staff and management for such a beautiful meal in a lovely restaurant this evening.
No wonder this place is constantly busy, both dining in and take away. We were very fortunate to bag the 5pm opening slot and the restaurant was very quickly full to capacity.
There was a bit of a wait for the food to come out but it was most definitely worth the wait!!
Outstanding food, excellent, friendly service and worth every penny paid.
A lovely way to end our mini break to Lincoln. Congratulations to everyone at Castle View for having such a fantastic restaurant!
Been several times.. service is spot on . The staff are very friendly. Lovely atmosphere..And the Food was Excellent.. thank you
Fantastic food - especially dry chicken Shaslick but ask for spicier or diff curry sauce like tikka masala on the side as standard sauce it came with was very bland. Saag paneer was also very good, as was garlic chilli chicken dish. Would highly recommend booking as very popular and Small place.
Quite nice food, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and quick service. Price was reasonable and portion sizes generous. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great meal. Service was very quick and organised. Meals were delicious and the price was extremely reasonable. 2 people, drink each, shared starter. 2 curries a rice and a naan, with poppadoms. Just over £50!!
This was honestly the best Indian meal we have ever had. Every dish was perfectly cooked and not swimming in oil like some Indian restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the choice of dishes amazing. Altogether outstanding
Fantastic restaurant, my favourite in Lincoln. Great variety of food and incredible flavours no matter what you order. I recommend getting one of the chef special dishes.
This is an odd one for me. I don't like Indian food, but Castle View have helped me change my mind. My whole party loved their dishes, even picky old me! Generous portions, reasonable prices and a good time all round. Thank you so much, I'm sure we will see you soon 😊
Such a lovely restaurant, Waiting area is comfy and decor is very nice. When you get up into the eating area you get your menus etc.. and there is a very wide range of options available to eat. I got The Chicken Tikka Masala with White Rice and Popadoms and it was lovely! I came with other family members for a birthday and enjoyed it highly. Would recommend and definitely come again!
