Ate here twice, once with the grand children when we had tea and cakes and then the following day some of us went back for breakfast.
Food was great and the staff friendly and helpful. The table was clean and a good height for my wheelchair. The toilets are close to the cafe part and the disabled one is easy to get in and out of.
The garden centre itself is bright and full of everything you could possibly need and more. I love the range of gifts and home decorations available and managed to find plenty of great things. Love the Harry Potter section!
The best bit about this garden centre is how easy it is to navigate in my wheelchair, the aisles were wide and tables spaced safely apart so I couldn’t catch any with my footrests or worry about getting stuck. There was so much available at a comfortable height for me to look at and that makes a massive difference for me.
As a disabled person it’s a lovely place to visit, it made me want to stay longer and see and buy more :) many retailers could learn from this example.
Past this place on our way to Mablethorpe over many many years. From the road it looked a bit to small so I never bothered. Been to lots of garden centres in the past and today for whatever reason I decided to pop in and have a look. WOW what a place. They are currently organising the Christmas decorations and what a display, by far and away the best I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. This place is not to be missed. Even the cafe was impressive. Just go, you will not be dissapointed!!!
1st October the Christmas shop is open, with a great selection of decorations all prices points. A nice selection of indoor plants
Lovely cup of tea (free through their rewards card) and treat, while sat in the outside dining area. Always love a trip to Pennells. Nice range of plants, homewares, children's toys (and Christmas items!)
This is a great place to while away a couple of hours. Terrific for lunch - extensive menu, great quality food, substantial portion sizes, sensibly priced and the restaurant itself is huge. Superb at Christmas - always an impressive selection of trees and decorations.
Wow - I don’t even know where to start!
We held a surprise baby shower for a good friend last weekend, and I had been liaising with a lovely lady named Debs, via E-mail, prior to our booking.
Debs made sure all the details were correct, and was so helpful and informative in regards to our afternoon tea booking, our time frame for the table; I’d also asked about coming in earlier to set up and Debs made sure we were able to do that.
On the day, we were greeted by a lovely lady named Jackie. Jackie was so professional yet smiley and ever so helpful. I’d messaged prior about the surprise baby shower being a “jungle theme” and when we arrived - she’d laid out green napkins and even put a tiger teddy bear on our table! It was so sweet.
We all had afternoon tea - and the food was so delicious and there was so much of it; we were even given boxes to be able to take the remaining food home with us.
Overall, it was such a lovely day. The best venue for a lovely celebration. It was above and beyond our expectations and I will definitely be coming back here for afternoon tea.
10/10 venue 10/10 staff and service.
Debs and Jackie are an absolute credit to the team, and they both went above and beyond what we could have asked for.
Thank you as well to the Resturant team for our lovely food.
It was a brilliant day and we are very much looking forward to coming back!
Thank you

It is a great garden centre which has a great range of Christmas decorations around the festive time
.always a place to visit around that time of the year.
The cafe is reasonably nice and is decorated with information about the companies history.
The farm shop part is very expensive but is high quality products.
A really great garden centre, with good facilities and an impressive selection of plants, pots, gifts, food and drinks. The cafe is a great place to visit with food ranging from coffee and cakes to a roast.
You definitely need a couple of hours for a visit. It's not the sort of place that you can't just pop into, there's so much to see - especially at Christmas time!
I love this garden centre. Its indoor plant selection is amazing ranging from air plants, carnivorous, foliage, cactus, succulents and many more. It has a good selection of outdoor plants too. Everything is reasonably well priced too. It has clothing and shoes too which are both really good quality. The food they serve is always fresh and Tastes good. I definitely recommend visiting if you want to expand your garden or even just t have a look around.
Wow, Christmas has arrived at Pennells.
As soon as the doors open it is Christmas.
The displays are amazing throughout the store. This is the best Christmas Pennells have done.
So much choice in every area of the shop.
Well done to all the staff for their hard work.
We cannot wait to come back and do some more Christmas shopping.
