La Vista Italian Restaurant

we ate dinner here on 11/7. it’s in the hotel we stayed at, i made both reservations the same day. convenient, cozy atmosphere, the food was *delicious*- we ate it so fast we were bad about taking pics- and service was kind and quick. all around great dinner and kickoff to our pre-holiday season getaway. my fiancé and i have almost 40 years of combined experience in retail/food/customer service, and the lady at the booth behind us might’ve been the most difficult, abrasive person we’ve ever witnessed in our careers. shoutout to our server madi (spelling?) for being so so collected, graceful, and kind with her. i’m not sure if i could’ve kept it as classy as you did; id hire 10 of you if i could. to the difficult guest: we heard (amongst everything else) that you like to leave reviews. so if you’re lurking- the only review you should leave is an apology. be a good customer. much love and gratitude to the entire riverwalk team. y’all made our little getaway so peaceful and welcoming!

The restaurant was very nice, the ambiance was amazing as well, the only slight issue was the service.. the servers were great, but the restaurant was short staffed. Make sure to make a reservation as well. We had the octopus, chicken Marsala, fettuccine, pasta with bolognese, and the pork chop.. do try the espresso martini as well.

Food was absolutely incredible. I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Our server was also fantastic. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the first woman we interacted with when we entered the restaurant very obviously looked down on us because of what we were wearing. We both had on sweatshirts (it’s 55° out). The woman actually told us there was a wait… there was no one around waiting and visibly empty tables. The second woman who ended up seating us instantly was on the phone when we were told there was a wait and she was very confused when we told her that we had been told there was a wait. There is absolutely nothing on the website that says there is a dress code for this restaurant. So if you’re going make sure you wear your best clothing if you want to be seated right away. Otherwise, expect to be told there’s a wait and know you will be looked down upon.

Food is good and fresh, this place do take out and we went there 2 times on 1st and 3rd of july. First time was a take out and pizza was good and big. We also had a salad wich was very well done and fresh, but a little small. On the other occasion we went for breakfeast and it was perfect! The view outside is absolutely stunning. Price are fair, service was excellent. The restaurant is in an hotel, so you have to pass the lobby to find it. Great place loved it.

We stayed at the Riverwalk for our wedding and had our rehearsal dinner here. They were so accommodating, allowed us to have it during the hours they were closed so we had the whole place just for the dinner. Staff is super nice food is phenomenal! Not one thing I would change. Everything is made fresh in house even the dressings and sauces. Atmosphere is very classy and comfortable. Everyone loved all the food. The food is pricy because it’s worth it and the servings are huge! You will have left overs. We came here for take out another day and same exact experience just phenomenal food! We will be coming here after a nice long day of snowboarding at Loon. Great for date nights and anniversaries as well. Please don’t change you guys are amazing!
