Bodega's Alley

This is hands down my favorite place downtown. Such a great environment and always have live music on the weekends and an awesome karaoke crowd on Tuesdays. Sidney is hands down the hottest bartender ever and Grubbs and Drew could be in movies!!! Phil at the door is always friendly as well. You won't regret coming here!

Bodega's Bouncer is terrible! Come here if you want the worst service in Lincoln! I have been to Bodega's several times in the past year and never had a problem getting in until last night. It is a fun place for karaoke but their service is horrendous. The bouncer (a larger gentleman with a lip piercing whom I did not get his name) was checking my ID and said he thought it was fake. He took it and I had to call the cops to come and check because I need my license to legally drive. I was fine to have the cops come and verify it but the service and treatment from the Bouncer was unacceptable. My friend from the same state (South Dakota) gave him her ID and he said he would let her in which is the main reason I am writing this. The cops came and verified my ID and gave it back and he still did not let us in because his pride was hurt and he could not handle being wrong. Worst customer service ever!

Bodegas is in the middle of quite a few college bars. I wish they were more educated on the state IDs that surround Nebraska. They continuously accepted my friends ID from North Dakota, but one night they decided they wouldn’t accept it (She is over 21). Additionally, they have a bad security system, and frequent bar fights break out. Although their karaoke is fun on Tuesdays, the overall experience passed that is 0. I would recommend going to other bars in lincoln.
