Love the Star in Lingfield. Nice selection of ales and beers. Great garden. Ideal if taking your children. The under cover section has an outdoor bar and grill area. Dog friendly aswell.

We crossed a county border for the Inquizition brand of quiz on a Thursday evening and were not disappointed! Great selection of food and drinks. It's on the expensive side - it's strange to charge the same for mocktails and cocktails but maybe that's Surrey prices. Shame that the waiter was obviously reluctant to check whether menu options met dietary requirements.

Lovely pub we stumbled across in Lingfield. Large covered outdoor area with bar service and decent sized beer garden. Kids playground stuff, to keep little ones entertained.
Quite popular, so I suggest booking if you're going for food. Speaking of which the food was very good (I had the Sunday roast beef). Good range of beers.
Only real negative, is the hand drier in the gents...just doesn't!!

Lively and very busy country pub with a great garden and outdoor cooking as well as the resturant. Staff are very friendly and helpful, food is very tasty and well cooked and presented. We stayed 2 nights as its perfect for the Edenbridge show. Rooms are clean and tidy reasonable price but as its near Gatwick our room 8 was noisy at night but didn't stop us sleeping. The TV in room 8 is not easy to watch as it's on a side wall.

A really nice pub with a great outdoor space, more than just your usual beer garden. Lazy summer afternoons and evenings can really be enjoyed here with a cold drink and some good food.

Nice food and a good range of drinks. Dog friendly. Lots of tables inside and out. Also, they have a brilliant play area outside. I’ve been lots of times with family and will definitely be returning. If you go on a Monday, there’s a deal on food but might be worth booking a table as it gets busy. Thanks for all the good afternoons, Star Inn!

We spent one night here with our children while in a layover from Gatwick... such a pleasant and calm atmosphere! We arrived late and were able to get a drink but no food before closing... a local shared some great food options which happily delivered to us! We had a fantastic breakfast and the children played outside before returning to the airport. It was wonderful! The room was quiet and comfortable and suites is perfectly. Breakfast was wonderful! The owner is so sweet! We wished we had actually stayed for longer! A grocery store is in walking distance for some snacks also!

We had a great time. We were a really big booking so we ordered all our food beforehand. Staff were super friendly and organised and the food was really good quality. The play area is brilliant for children too. We can’t wait to return :)

Good choice of beers, the food was good and reasonably priced and there was a 25% discount on ladies night (Monday). Staff were pretty good. Overall a great place to go after the races and celebrate or raise your spirits

Went for lunch on 7 May 2023, so the Coronation weekend. As expected, it was very busy, and I'm glad I'd booked a table. Despite staff obviously being very pressured, they were all friendly. Considering how busy it was, service was very quick - must be a well run crew. Food was good, beer was great and the price was reasonable - £80 with alcoholic drinks for four adults. Thanks guys, and well done on a pub well run. We've been lots of times before, and we'll keep coming back.
