Visited mid day and it was nice and quiet though plenty of space if it wasn't so. Staff member was friendly and service was prompt. Food was average, bit overdone and can tell fryer oil needs a change but warm and filled a hole for a reasonable cost.
The fish was inedible, the batter was dark brown and singed. I suspect it had been kept in the heated display too long at too high a heat. Thoroughly dissapointed and I'll never be back.
Great food, amazing scotch sellers and so friendly, the all town deserve to be visited, recommend to be visited through Rabbis tour or take the bus from Edinburgh. The town has amazing castle on the lack and many beautiful birds, be sure you have some bread to feed the ducks and the birds :)
We always order a special haddock supper here. Beautifully crumbed. Holds its crunch well. Two big pieces of quality fish.
