His knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, cooking are apparent in the quality of the food on his varied and original menu. He maintains, and expects, high standards. Most importantly he is always on the premises and runs the place with a small and regular staff. Pub / Restaurants of this quality, in this price range, are a rarity these days. Eating or drinking here is a really enjoyable experience.
