Turtle Bean

I went here with my girlfriend for breakfast. It was fairly busy with just a couple of tables available. The young woman who met us took our order within a few minutes and our coffees were brought to the table very quickly, the coffee was fantastic. I had the full English which was great and my girlfriend had scrambled eggs with soda bread which she says was very tasty and she loved the bread. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Liss with great food and drink, friendly staff and a pleasant place.

A Sunday morning breakfast jaunt to this popular and friendly local cafe… We arrived just before official opening time, but the place was already keeping the locals fed and watered. I had the Eggs Benedict which was fresh and tasty, accompanied by a nice cappuccino. The scrambled eggs and toast offered a good option too. By the time we left just after 1100, the place was take-away only, as it was full to capacity. It’s great to see a local cafe so full. The cake display was also very tempting, so if you visit, make sure you check this out. With free parking nearby, this is definitely a good spot for a relaxed meal and in our case, a good catch up with friends.

Really loved this visit! Liss is fairly small and we were just passing through and needed a bite to eat. Googled to find a nice place and the good reviews for here were certainly not wrong. It's quirky... the good kind. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The menu was perfectly sufficient for a nice lunch and from what I could see it was all fresh home made food. I had the burger with home made chilli sauce. The beef pate was delicious and a nice small portion of chips. The coffee was rich and the cake (all homemade) was moist and topped with a very tasty gnash. What a treat! Had a chat with the business owner who was a smashing guy. Clearly cares about his customers and what they think. If you are in the area please do stop in. 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
