I've been using this Chinese for 20 years plus and never had a bad experience. Their food is great. Open kitchen, cooked in front of you, usually very swiftly although can get busier on Friday and Saturdays understandably. If I'm in the vicinity I wouldn't consider using any other Chinese period. Great food. Great taste. Highly recommended.
Very high quality Chinese food - prices are fair and prepared efficiently
Really good Chinese meal. Every dish was very delicious the lemon chicken is excellent not smothered in gluey sauce just a very small amount of clear lemon sauce which we found perfect same goes for the crispy chilli beef . Staff are very friendly and meal was ready for collection when they said it would be. Definitely going to use them as our first choice.
Mmmmmm! You know when a place is so tasty it doesn't even need to do delivery and is pretty isolated too! Wow though! Genuinely nothing about this place is horrible. Open kitchen, very clean, very friendly and the food is just soooooo good! The pancake rolls are stuffed with meat too, not just veg like they all seem to do now. The noodles were the right texture, not soggy or hard and the rice is as fluffy as it comes! The crispy duck wasn't very crispy but to be honest I like it like that so good for me lol. Chicken balls are juicy, the soups are packed rather than a bowl of water. I just loved every bit of it! The meat fell off the rib as I picked it up off my plate it was that tender. Genuinely by far the best Chinese I ever remember having. Nothing else around even comes close to it. My only disappointment is that they don't deliver, but hey no where is perfect lol

The food here is quite frankly excellent. The Amber is an inconspicuous little Hole in the Wall take-away. It's squeaky clean, and the kitchen is open-plan, so you can watch the chefs working their magic. Service is friendly, and prices are more than fair for the quality you're getting.
Pro-Tip: Unlike a lot of other Chinese takeaways in the area, this place cooks everything fresh, to order. It also gets crazy-busy, so you can expect to wait at peak times. Instead of whining about this waiting time, appreciate it for what it is... the time required to prepare quality food in large quantities.
Stayed at Highfield Grange holiday park and found this takeaway via my galaxy s3..so glad we did...we had a fixed meal for two for just over 16 pounds....well worth the money and delicious!!! We frequently go to clacton...this will be a tasty meal for another night!!! Looking forward to it!!!!

As many on here have said, this is the best Chinese takeaway in the Clacton area. The food is lovely with a good vegetarian selection available, the staff are very friendly and the place is lovely and clean (open plan so you can see the food being cooked and prepared).
The food is amazing, I can highly recommend the sale chilli chicken. The place is super clean with an open view of the kitchen, sometimes there is a wait, but that is because the place is so popular, that alone must mean something.
Never been there but it's always got the side window open; smells nice as I drive past.
Very nice staff and quick at cooking food, food is filling with lots of flavour.
The staff loves to think about hygiene, which shows the food is being cooked with care.
I highly recommend.
