Food is great and love the menu for dogs.My only gripe is that I couldnt leave a tip due to paying by card.Surely a tip can be added and given to staff in cash as i rarely take cash with me when going for a meal.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and good home cooked food at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend

Was quiet, thank god, we were greeted with a smile, chose a table, and ordered after a bit, food was quite nice, felt really as advertised home cooked, should be a nice place to enjoy outside in the summer. Prices are fair.
Really good food and quality. The burgers are lovely and the homemade steak pie was rich and, tasty. The portion sizes were all you could ask for. Very affordable prices and local beers.
Enjoyed a very nice meal at the Summit whist waiting for the water level in the canal to rise. Beautiful views of the local scenery from their outdoor terrace. Many dog walkers as their policy is very dog friendly.
Home cooked food with generous portion. We ordered hot sandwich, double burger and 2 drinks
a total bill came just less than £25 for two.
Friendly service and made us feel welcome.
Nice outside sitting area and lovely location.
We definitely be back soon.
Great service and food.
Cozy pub and doesn't clean out your wallet.
Will be back
Called in on the off chance for lunch after a long drive.
The pub was quite traditional with some locals and hill walkers. Good menu with vegetarian options available. Main with a soft drink for around £11.
Friendly place with good value food. All day brunch was perfect with properly cooked bacon and egg. Reasonable drink prices. Plenty of seating.
Friendly and very well managed. Well kept cask beer, and a decent range of reasonably priced, good quality pub food. The gravy which comes with the beef ciabatta is especially good! Options for vegetarians are more limited in choice though. (Photo is not representative of portion size because it was very tasty and I started eating before remembering to photograph it.)
Came in with my partner for fathers day and was treated to the best steak and ale pie,the biggest and crispiest onion rings I've ever seen. The service was amazing and the cask beer was really well kept. We will definitely be back again soon.
It's just the best little lunchtime place after taking Max my labrador to the res for a cool. Great atosphere and lots of tables and space .
Parking too.
Highly recommend
