Chicken is halal here which is why we thought we’d try it out. Service was lovely, food was amazing and very generous portion sizes! Thank you to Chloe and the girls who served us! They were also very conscious of our dietary requirements would definitely visit again! :)

Excellent restaurant on Smithdown Road!!
Great food, great choice, great 👍 service, friendly staff, eat in or takeaway, good social distancing, easy access for disabled, family friendly, (they do a great takeaway Sunday lunch, loads of it) 😄😄😄!!!
"Highly Recommended"!!!
(But, at the moment, because of covid, you must book beforehand for eating in)!!!
very friendly staff, great service especially from our waitress kirsty, food was top notch, good sized portions. definitely come back again x
AMAZING CHICKEN SUNDAY ROAST. Huge portions, every item on the platr was delicious. £12 for a meal not bad but totally worth it. The interior is cosy and trendy and the staff are very friendly. Will go back many more times!
The Sunday Roast I tell you...hit the spot. Very hearty wholesome food. The chicken is Halal. Food was grad. I must say it need a Yorkshire pud and a bit more gravy. But that me. Service was great and very chilled vibe. Definitely a place I'll keep in mind on my next visit to Liverpool. Good food

Summary: Based on ordering from the Sunday Lunch Menu. Great portion size for the mains and the food was very tasty and very well presented. The person serving was helpful and friendly. The price was about average. Maybe could have had a mini pot of extra gravy served with the meal. Just for those gravy lovers out there. Overall though definitely a place to go for a decent Sunday Roast and if I lived in the area could imagine going as a regular.
Some detail: So we were driving on the way to watch the afternoon Liverpool game and were browsing many places to have some lunch. We came across Spitroast and it was Sunday why not go for roast.
The restaurant itself is just off the corner of the street. Now unfortunately if you are driving there is not any main street parking, not the restaurants fault. But you will have to find some parking on the side streets just off the main road. So be aware for this particular location.
The inside of the restaurant has a very calm and cosy atmosphere making it a nice place to sit inside and enjoy your meal.
They do provide the main menu and the Sunday lunch menu on a Sunday. The Sunday lunch menu is more than enough in my opinion to choose from. You can look ahead at the menu on their website which is easy to navigate.
But between the 4 of us that day we had the Roast Chicken Dinner each. Falafels, Chicken Won-Tons and the Molten Chocolate Fudge Cake. We were going to have the Sticky Toffee Pudding unfortunately they were out which was a shame.
One point of note which I thing all restaurants should do. Is to mention what is not available that day when providing the menu. Just to help customers make a choice.
The starters are not too big and overall you do not want them to be based on the size of main. The starters were very well presented and tasted great. As I said its just enough to not fill you up before the main meal.
When the mains came it was the portion size was large. Which is pleasantly surprising as it wasn’t just buffed up by the vegetables. The size of the half-chicken and amount of vegetables provided defiantly worth it.
The main was also presented and cooked well. The gravy and vegetables were also delicious. It really filled me up. One of the best restaurant chicken roasts I have had in a while.
Only one bad point is that I ordered vodka and apple juice. Was given an orange juice. Maybe I would have said something but the actual orange juice looked quite nice. Also I wasn’t particularly bothered that day what kind of juice I was having.
Overall though this place from my experience if most defiantly a must try for a Sunday Chicken Roast. The food made up for the minor mistakes. I could see it becoming a larger franchise in the future if they keep up that quality.
Thank you to ‘Chloe’ our server.
So friendly and polite.
Pleasure to have on a Sunday, perfect food and atmosphere.
Will be back asap!

We had a delicious meal in here sunday evening, with lovely service from Chloe, and the juciest chicken I have ever tasted made my Rob and the kitchen staff, it was perfect!
Amazing food, top notch. The pesto chicken is especially good. Looking forward to returning. I usually visit for a quick take out.
Update: my favourite pesto chicken has been removed from the menu, really disappointing, I’ll pass now. Knocked a star off.
