I have great memories of my visits to this place. On both occasions I left feeling welcomed and in a great mood. Let me explain why...
First things first, ambience. The setting within this restaurant is that of a family-run business (I'm not sure if this is the case but it certainly feels like it). The waiters and waitresses are quick at serving you, all the while paying attention where it's due. They even offer recommendations if needed (for us it was regarding the Roki).
Second, the food. While presentation was quite basic, everything was cooked to perfection. It may seem easy, considering what's on the menu, but past experience has lead me to never underestimate the difficulty of simplicity. And these guys have the recipe for their success fine-tuned.
In summary, if you're looking for a place to munch on a fantastic meal while having laughs then this is definitely the place to go! - Just don't overdue it with the Roki hahhaa.
Really nice restaurant in the somewhat happening Lark Lane. The restaurant has a really nice ambience. The waiting staff are excellent and service is very memorable. The drinks and food menu seem to be very authentic greek. The prices are also not much. One of my favourite places in liverpool. Certainly one of the best restaurants in Lark Lane
Beautiul food, service, smells
But just make sure ur hungry for the massive portions
Review of Elif. Best place to eat in Lark Lane, always clean, espesially the loos.
Food great, well prepared and cooked, all produce fresh each day , i was told.
Have eaten all the menu and not been diapointed in anything ive eaten.
Some good background music always just at the right low level.
I have recomended Elif to all i know.
Best restaurant on lark lane. Food always 100% fresh and great staff.
We left Elif feeling extremely full, and may take a more considered approach when ordering next time. Apart from the the over the top deserts, the meal was very good, sticking to the idea of simplicity, and worth the £47.20 for two people. I don’t know of any restaurants that do a similar style in Liverpool, there are certainly other greek and turkish establishments, but having the charcoal grill as centre-piece is something novel (please get in touch if I’m wrong). I would recommend a meal here to anyone who asked. Very good
We had a variety of dishes from the lunchtime offer (extended till late into the afternoon) and was not disappointed!
From grilled fish to the lamb shank and kofta everything was spot on ! I visited the lark lane branch last in 2016 and glad the standards have kept up while keeping the prices competitive !
Only gripe was one the waiters (short guy with distinctively short tie) was quite rude as I’d told him we were waiting for parties in the bathroom, so didn’t want to order just yet. Then just ignored us all afternoon like we’d insulted him and had to call for another waiter, yet was happy chappy around other tables!
This is probably my favourite plate to eat in Liverpool. As well as the staff being friendly and having some great banter.m the food is just insane! I love the fact that you can see it being cooked on the in house BBQ which the meat and bread is cooked on which equates to such a flavoursome dish.
Great place to have delicious comfort food. Staff is very friendly. Food service was smooth. We have arrived early, so decided to try early bird deal. Food was delicious, full of flavour. Portions were big, so there was nk space left for the dessert. Highly recommend to visit!
We went in for the early bird special, 2 courses £13.95…. We decided on getting a hummus as extra… food was incredible and plentiful… we were very glad of the walk (or waddle) back through the park afterwards
Went early 4pm for a date night to celebrate mine & hubby’s 33rd wedding anniversary. The food as ever was amazing! This is only our 3rd visit but the food tastes absolutely delicious. We shared a karisik (for 2) and we both have large appetites but we only just managed to finish! I gave up before the hubby 😂 Such a lovely place. Staff great as well
The food was very delicious and flavourful. I enjoyed it and quite a big portion as well. It was a busy night considering it's mother's day but service was acceptable.
You have to get in before 6pm to take advantage of the Starter and Main £14 offer. The Starter's choice was excellent; we opted for prawn cocktail (loads of prawns), Turkish sausage 👍, and I went for the lamb's liver, onions and salad. It was excellent and huge, a meal in itself tbh. We didn't mess about with Mains and all three of us got the lamb shanks. So much meat. Slow cooked deliciousness. I don't know how they can sell two courses for that amount when lamb shanks alone are at least £18 elsewhere.
They are generous with bread and dips as free entrees as well. Be good to yourself and give this place a go. You won't regret it
What a lovely meal. I will be back
