BBQ in the middle of Liverpool, I never would have guessed. Traditional low and slow smoked almost anything you could desire, beef short ribs are good, you can see the smoke ring and done with an original Sauce.
Serves are US style and could easily feed two, prices are reasonable and service was good, even on a Sunday afternoon.
Me and my friend arrived without booking, but staff were quick to seat us and take our order. Atmosphere of the place certainly added too the fun of the experience that we had here, as it felt very relaxed and old western American in aesthetic.
We were feeling particularly hungry so ordered our meal with our eyes, portion wise we were definitely more than happy. Meat was very tender and warm, staff were happy to oblige with requests to add extra marinade to our items.
Although beef rib initially came overcooked staff were quick to fix this and apologise bringing me a fresh one, tasting warm, juicy and very flavourful!
It should be noted however staff made a mistake with our order and added an extra side of plain fries to it that we were charged for, although my friend had not requested it with his burger.
Pulled pork, extra hot chicken pieces, beef brisket and the rib are all must tries in terms of the seasoning and flavour (not being bland at all), our meats were cooked well too our taste also.
Aside from the meat the loaded fries, red dog sauce and buffalo sauce tasted absolutely fantastic paired with the other items hot from the grill. Not to mention the coleslaw, which although I prefer a more peppery one in contrast to this creamy one still tastes great in our experience here.
It would be rude of me not to mention how if you’re coming here their Oreo shake is a must try.
Overall I’d say it’s definitely worth a visit if you like Western USA themed food as you typically get tasty meat options paired with a chill dining experience here, which I don’t tend to see frequently anywhere else in the city. In terms of trying too pull off a USA themed place when it comes to the food and vibe, red dog comes out as one of, if not the closest in Liverpool in achieving that.
We came here on Saturday from Manchester to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We wanted bbq type food, and unfortunately, all the bbq food places in Manchester have closed down or just weren't that great when we have been.
We arrived and were seated almost straight away, I loved the look of the restaurant and the vibe.
The staff were very attentive and polite throughout, and the food was amazing! We'll definitely be back. The trip is worth it!
Lovely food. The portions are definitely plenty. The food tasted great and was very flavourful. Recommend the fried chicken and the fried jalapenos. The custard milkshakes are very nice and different to usual milkshakes. Was a very lovely meal definitely going back when we have an excuse
Probably the best burger I've had.
Philly cheese steak double burger was incredible.
Place a bit on the pricey side of it but well worth it and I would go back here next time in in Liverpool.
If you’re looking for a great burger, tasty wings, and some good ol’ Mac and cheese, this is the place. They don’t skimp out one sauce and everything was cooked properly and tasted great. They even had my husband’s favorite beer, Blue Moon. The margaritas looked good but we didn’t try them. Looking forward to visiting again.
We can recommend the Buffalo wings, Cheeseburger, and the burnt ends. The fries had a red paprika spice on them which we also really liked. Get the platter for 2 if you want to sample a bunch of items.
The atmosphere at 1:00pm on a Tuesday was slow, not many people here, and there was generic dance and lounge music playing. We didn’t love the music choice or the generic saloon decor, but the spacious tables and air conditioner on a mildly cool day made it so comfortable! I didn’t want to go back out into the humidity. There is also tons to do around the area, especially on Bd Street. A comfortable walking distance from Central Station, so it’s also a good place to meet people at.
Absolutely unreal!
Tasted beautiful, a lovely, rich, smokey flavour.
Everything cooked nicely & very well.
Staff were attentive without being intrusive.
Lovely selection of drinks & beers.
Cost is definitely worth the quality food served here, properly stunning!
I'll be back for the Davey Jones wings! 🔥
Came here after a work recommendation, best burger I’ve ever eaten. Also got the mozzarella dippers, you only get 4 and a dip for £8.50 they were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing though, the burger I chose was the hickory with an extra burger. It was nice and and juicy, the drinks however were a little over priced paying £6.50 for a pint of corona and £8.50 for a glass of rose our full meal came to £68. The whole experience and quality speaks for its self I’d definitely visit again sometime.
The food was absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere and great decor. The only thing that I can point out is the fact that the servers aren't very attentive. It was hard to get their attention and it took forever to get things sorted. Overall 8/10
A perfect place to go out with friends or family, lunch or dinner!
Very nice staff, especially two bartenders, my favorites, Lenna and Will!
Lovely place to have food and drink. Hazel was great waitress. Recommend the spicy burger.
