The Vernon Arms is just the type of pub that I look for, a good old fashioned boozer with some magnificent real ales on, all on top form i might add. As i expected the bar staff were really friendly and asked what sort of beer i wanted, giving me a few tasters on the way, and i went for a Cheshire C

Marking down 1 star as toilets absolutely filthy and stink. Need a full refurb.
Great pub on the corner of a lane. Good selection of beers available. Music played in the background. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that the toilet cubicle door was broken and wouldn't lock. Apart from that, no problems at all. Also friendly bar staff.

A grate hidden little charm in Liverpool City centre this pub sells Welsh beer at very good quality highly recommend .. this pub has brains beer on tap
Proper old fashioned pub. Great staff. Good choice of cask beers on tap (over six on the night we visited. Try the cosy room towards the back of the pub for peace and quiet. Good choice of bottled beers too.
Love this real scouse pub,Jimmy mine host,his wife and sons who all work there are brilliant,as are all staff,great real ales,and fab food.Kev and Jean Quinn.

I love this old pub....its a proper pub .....beer selection is good....full of locals.....staff and locals are so friendly. Staff excellent. The pub lists ...like the Titanic. Thee food is just as you would have at home... cheese and ham toastie is lovely. We are from Manchester and go to Liverpool

Went for a pub lunch with two friends. I was not disappointed as the food was excellent not expensive and the service was very good. I have eaten there a couple of times and will go back again.
