Called in for a quick meal with my wife and son in October 2023, before heading to the Empire which is helpfully next door!
It was extremely busy and we got the only free table. Despite this the table was wiped down and the crockery/ glasses from the previous diners was cleared quickly, by a member of the team who was clearly very bust but made time for a smile.
We ordered on the app which was very easy and the food arrived very quickly. Menu was as you’d expect from a Wetherspoons, and I went for the ‘three plates for £14.93’ offer – two pizzas and a chips – and each was good in terms of size and flavour.
Would recommend, and would visit again if needed a quick bite.
Really lovely pub. There is plenty of seating, spread between different sections. It is connected to Liverpool Lime Street Station which is very convenient. You can enter from the train station (no stairs) or street level (which has stairs to climb). Friendly staff. Good food. Good drink. Reasonable prices. Ordering from the app is very convenient. Restrooms are inside the pub or you can use the ones just outside the door in the station itself.
A great classic Wetherspoons pub. There is a good selection of food and drink and all food that I ordered through the app was brought quickly and tasted good. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Very, busy place. First, find a table and locate your table number (gold circle on top). Next grab a food menu by the doors. Great variety...some of the flatbread looked delicious. I chose the fish and chips with peas. You order your food at the bar and pay for it there and they will need your table number. Within 5 minutes, the hot food was delivered to the table. The fish was light and hot and the batter crispy. The chips (fries) were awesome. The peas were delightful, and needed a little salt. Ordered a jack Daniels. Great lunch!
Nice addition to the station and great when there's time to burn because let's face it this is a spoons- cheap and cheerful. Not loads of space but there's a decent amount of seats. With the app you don't have to worry about moving!

Decent Liverpool Wetherspoon’s which occupies part of the ground floor of a grand building close to Lime Street Station. 7 cask beers - and 1 cider - on handpump when I visited including a mild.
The Grade II listed building was originally the North Western Hotel a 330 room establishment opened in 1871 by the London and North Western Railway to serve Lime Street Station.
The hotel closed in the 1930s and remained empty until 1996 when it was converted into student accommodation and the ground floor became a public house.
Great pub in a very impressive building. And part of the Liverpool Lime Street Station. Prices as is always the case for Weatherspoon we’re very low. 2.60 for a pint of bitter. Certainly not London prices. There’s plenty of choice also with multiple bitters and lagers on draft. Was pretty busy when I was there and it was mid day on a weekday. And even then struggled to get a seat. I can imagine in the evening or weekend this place will be packed.
I enjoyed a drink of Absolut Vodka with lemonade at this station before catching my train, served quickly as was convenient! The pub has a lovely classic style and the Christmas decorations add to the feel.
We were recently staying at The Liner Hotel and visited here three times. On every occasion the food was good, everything was clean, ordering via the app was easy. Only ONE thing let it down, on our middle visit the server was dreadful. Our first order of drinks she had a face like thunder and put my husband’s beer down so hard she spilt it! Subsequent deliveries of food and further drinks were also delivered with a scowl. Thankfully the servers on our two other visits were fine, mostly very friendly but always pleasant.
The decor inside was good and was themed towards the railways as Liverpool lime street is just next door. There's loads of tables and various rooms separated by short corridors, with some tables upstairs as well. The food was really nice and the service was good.
