Mayur is easily the best curries in Liverpool, and the staff are great
Highly recommended
The makhawala and the Rogan Josh are highlights
You'll pay somewhat more than most Indian places, but that comes with the territory of being a more upmarket place (having said that though, it's a very casual, laid back vibe without any snobbyness). The restaurant is beautiful inside and the Indian music playing throughout really adds to the atmosphere
The menu is worked very well- dishes are explained by their region and they're really authentic; as opposed to the mix and match approach of most Indians. Food is cooked in an open kitchen at the front which shows a good amount of pride in their chefs
Wait times can be a bit long, especially once the restaurant fills up a bit, but the food is more than worth it
About the food; dishes are really flavourful and all have their own spin on the classic food you'll know, along with some rarer recipes. Starters are small, but they're very tasty. Main meals more than make up for this with generous portions, and the presentation is gorgeous.
All in all, Mayur is great for when you fancy a bit of a posh meal, and will suit anything from a family occasion to a date night.
A must visit place for good Indian food and courteous staff that take the Indian tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava to a new level. Must try the cheese and chili naan and butter chicken. Out of this world is my verdict. Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

What a gorgeous restaurant the deco is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely meal from the early bird menu, a drink, starter, main with rice or nann the ice cream or a hot drink for just £14.95. The food was excellent. I highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
Spacious, modern styled, lively restaurant with a great menu. Service was very good and were given plenty of time between courses so never felt rushed. You will pay a couple quid more for your food here than you would in a lot of other Indian restaurants, but the overall experience was worth it.
Good food, friendly staff and amazing Indian background music.. Would definitely recommend to friends and colleagues.... 😊😊
Absolutely gorgeous food would well recommend here, staff are lovely and the restaurant is amazing,
The food was excellent and the staff lovely and welcoming would highly recommend
One of the best Indian Restaurants in Liverpool. Beautiful decor love the huge crystal chandeliers so pretty. Delicious a la carte Indian food. The Prawn Jalfrezi was divine as was the garlic naan. Service was first class. Lovely welcome and the staff were so friendly & hospitable. Even took some food home we couldn't manage as the portions were so good. Definitely look forward to next visit.

Had a fab meal for our 20th wedding anniversary - So friendly & couldn’t do enough for us - Food was outstanding & piping hot which I’ve got a pet hate of warm food ! Decor is beautiful - can’t wait for our next visit - highly recommended 👍👍👍 x
Just had the best curry we've had for a long long time. Highly recommended if you are visiting Liverpool *****
Staff helpful and attentive x couldn't fault it x
Great food as always & staff are very attentive & polite highly recommend if your ever in Liverpool
Lovely food & very helpful, friendly staff. A restaurant we go back to again & again
Fantastic meal with the most amazing courteous service. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Staff really attentive and didn’t feel rushed at all. Will definitely be going back
Fabulous, creative menu with an excellent selection of unusual and diverse dishes. If you are after a standard run of the mill Indian menu with a bog standard list of usual suspects then this isn't for you. The chefs have put considerable thought and care into curating beautiful dishes, based on flavour and quality.
I'm not a massive fan of 'heat' but I'm a huge fan of flavour and clever spice combination and this place did not disappoint. In fact it was an absolute delight.
We had a selection of starters, and lamb and chicken for main course. Everything was exceptional. Portion size was very generous and the food was presented beautifully.
The restaurant had a lovely ambience, modern vibe and fabulous, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff.
I've eaten in great restaurants all over the world including places with famous chefs and Michelin stars and, quite honestly this place holds its own along side them for me. Definitely one of my new favourite places.
If I could give this place 6 stars I would!
WOW We just had one of the best Indian Meals in Years! All Dishes were amazing and we will be bringing our friends here in the near future. Best Tasting Indian Food I have had in Many Many Years! Highly recommend! Thank You!
Oh gosh 😍 Absolutely amazing!
My daughter and I went for a Mother's day treat.
I have extensive experience of authentic Indian food, be it home cooked in the colony of Nizamuddin or the street food of chandni chowke. So you can imagine, I really couldn't wait to try this place. I wasn't disappointed! 😍
We ordered Pani puri and keema pav baji for our starters. Absolutely amazing. The pani puri was extremely flavoursome, and you get 5 pieces, although I personally thought there could have been a little more filling because I'm greedy 😉
We shared the Keema pav......again, it was perfectly spiced and full of flavour.
I ordered laal maas for my main, which is Red meat in a firey sauce 😋 just enough to go with my garlic naan and boiled rice.
My daughter had the butter chicken, again beautifully aromatic with lot's of flavour.
Of course, we had to have sides to go with the delicious Meal. So we had sweet potatoe masala fries and a chutney tray.
We went on to wash our meal down with amazing cocktails.
The cocktail menu is huge, and is sure to take an hour to browse.
To be fair I did think about ordering a kulfi for dessert, but we had no room left in our bellies. 🤦🏽♀️🤪
As well as the food being amazing, the decor and ambiance took me right back to Rajasthan.
I'll definitely be visiting again 🇮🇳🍸🥘😋😊💗
See you soon 😊 X
Not long ago, I had the pleasure of dining at the Indian Tiffin Room in Liverpool and was thoroughly impressed. The lollipop chicken and butter chicken with naan bread were simply exquisite! The taste was authentic and rich. What truly made a lasting impression, however, was the exceptional service. The staff made every effort to ensure my dining experience was not just good, but memorable, making me feel truly appreciated. I would strongly endorse Indian Tiffin Room in Liverpool to anyone seeking a delightful gastronomic adventure accompanied by top-notch customer service. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit.
Our first visit to ITR on Duke Street Liverpool
Amazing service from Ruhan and the rest of the team, beautiful restaurant filled with exotic aromas and a creative delicious menu!
From classic Indian dishes to indo Chinese inspired ones, there really is no place in Liverpool like it.
The cocktail menu is absolutely superb and highly recommend trying the Indian inspired margarita.
Easily my favourite restaurant in Liverpool. Variety of options on the menu including a special vegan menu! A lot of Indian street food options. Our server Ritika was lovely.
The staff were friendly and kind. The ambiance was good. The food was tasty. Highly recommend!
I was lucky enough to stumble across the Indian Tiffin Room restaurant on Duke Street Liverpool. This was a truly enjoyable experience and rare find. Our waiter was Ruhan, and it was his amazing attentive service that made this a wonderful afternoon out.
I’m one of these people who like spice, but hot spice doesn’t like me, so I err on the side of caution and go with medium heat at most. Being new to this restaurant and most things on the menu, when Ruhan asked could he help and I mentioned this, he was only too helpful and took time to go through everything on the menu. He went into great depth telling me about each dish, what is was, how it was made up, what to expect and in some cases its use and origin in India. Having listened to his advice I chose:
Reshmi Kebab
Mangalorean tawa minu
Jeera Pulav
Batura
The Reshmi Kebab was a plate of grilled chicken, salad and a mint yoghurt dip. The chicken was done to perfection. So perfectly flavoured, succulent, not a hint of dryness or burned, and not at all hot. Truly perfection for chicken lovers.
The main, the Mangalorean tawa minu, was a sea bass heavily seasoned in spices and grilled. Grilling fish can be difficult. It’s all too easy to burn dry or leave partly raw. This again was cooked to perfection. I might even go as far as to say the best cooked fish I’ve had at a restaurant. The bass was meaty and juicy. The skin crisp and not burned. The seasoning was powerfully flavourful and although was on the boarder of heat level I can handle, wasn’t so hot that you loose the flavour and all you remember is heat.
The Jeera Pulav rice was a nice fluffy white rice with cumin seeds and cashew nuts. The Batura a sourdough bread deep fried and puffed. Not at all greasy and a nice light sweetness to it.
I was driving so went for an alcohol free drink and chose something special, a Nimbu Lychee I believe it was called. A lychee juice mixed with rose petals and topped with a cream. Like drinking dessert.
All of the staff here were incredibly nice. The restaurant was very clean and the decor wonderful with artwork just adding to the whole experience.
Not a topic to talk about but a sign to me of a good restaurant is how clean and well looked after the bathrooms are. High marks here too!
Once again, thank you to Ruhan for making this feel like more of a visit at a friend’s house than an afternoon in a busy city centre restaurant.
I am so happy we stumbled across this amazing place. Thank you to all the staff at the Indian Tiffin Room Liverpool.
Food tasted very nice here, this place opened very recently and ambience is quite impressive. The service was very smooth and the employees are very friendly. We ordered Pani puri, vadapav, momos, bhelpuri as starters and everything tasted amazing, kind of signature dishes. As main course we ordered vegetable biryani, chole batura, naan and palak paneer. Biryani was good but doesn’t feel something special but, the other dishes were very delicious and not heavy. Highly recommended place for the authentic snacking……
This place exists next to China town, they have free parking Spaces either side of the road or have paid parking facility along the back of the building. Pre booking for dine-in is recommended.
The Dhaba style chicken was well seasoned, full of flavour, and served with a delicious naan. The Butter Chicken was tasty, but the plain rice was super simple with minimal flavour. The portion sizes here are excellent and could easily have served two people.
They thrive with their unique offering of dishes and ambience is cherry on the cake. We ordered the Madurai masala dosa, pav bhaji, sweet potato fries, paneer and pineapple tikka, Shezwan noodles and vada pav. The dosa was exceptional! I haven’t had anything better than that. The rest could use some more flavour but it was still manageable.
