Mayur is easily the best curries in Liverpool, and the staff are great
Highly recommended
The makhawala and the Rogan Josh are highlights
You'll pay somewhat more than most Indian places, but that comes with the territory of being a more upmarket place (having said that though, it's a very casual, laid back vibe without any snobbyness). The restaurant is beautiful inside and the Indian music playing throughout really adds to the atmosphere
The menu is worked very well- dishes are explained by their region and they're really authentic; as opposed to the mix and match approach of most Indians. Food is cooked in an open kitchen at the front which shows a good amount of pride in their chefs
Wait times can be a bit long, especially once the restaurant fills up a bit, but the food is more than worth it
About the food; dishes are really flavourful and all have their own spin on the classic food you'll know, along with some rarer recipes. Starters are small, but they're very tasty. Main meals more than make up for this with generous portions, and the presentation is gorgeous.
All in all, Mayur is great for when you fancy a bit of a posh meal, and will suit anything from a family occasion to a date night.
A must visit place for good Indian food and courteous staff that take the Indian tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava to a new level. Must try the cheese and chili naan and butter chicken. Out of this world is my verdict. Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.
To start you walk in and are greeted by friendly staff. Every staff member looks good and is willing to help. We had a mocktail and it was amazing. The presentation of it was good, clean glass, and it tastes delicious. But I must leave the best till last... The food, is just wow. Its tasty, cooked really well, delicious. The price isn't to bad either.
Toilets are clean too. I for one will definitely return. Thank you for a great evening!
Returned to ensure it was so nice. Wasn't just nice was amazing. If your visiting Liverpool, this is a must visit.
Food was amazing, to be honest it is by far the best Indian food I had in Liverpool. Highly recommend it.
What real Indian food is! The staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. Definitely trust their recommendations on both food and drinks!
Nice food, good selection on the menu and reasonable price. Worth a visit.
Great food, accommodating staff, and a lovely ambience. Would definitely recommend
My fiancé and I visited the Spice Lounge Bar & Grill for our anniversary weekend and we loved it. The food was absolutely delicious, very tasty! The service was fantastic and they were all very kind and welcoming. We'll definitely be visiting again. Thanks for making our evening extra special.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Great service, super quick and not intrusive. Lovely food, well spiced and well cooked - properly cooked chick peas and actual flavours rather than the sweet gloop you get in some restaurants. Nicely decorated, music and atmosphere. Good vegan options. Would definitely go back.
This was my first visit to this place, but I will definitely make time for it the next time I'm in town. I was taken aback at first because the place was empty (never a good sign, I thought) However, I was wrong. The server treated us like royalty and was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned - just the right amount of spice. Every serving was perfectly balanced and left us wanting more.
Lovely Indian food, and the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. In particular, they had a gluten free menu on hand which offered great variety and a huge range of choices. The food itself was delicious, and cooked to perfection; we will certainly be visiting Mayur again. Thanks a lot! :)
6 of us went there on Friday evening and had a fantastic meal. It was a spontaneous decision to go in as we wandered past and it was a great choice.
I have never experienced such tasty food, not blow your head off hot, just spicy and delicious. Our waitress was brilliant and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.
Good value too at £35 per head for starter, main course along with several bottles of wine and beers!
