So cheap too! I had the pizza topped chips and my mum had a burger and both were absolutely unreal. If you’re ever in Liverpool you NEED to go!!! �
Just been to the Caledonia for the first time in a long time and I am sooooooo impressed! Such a homely place with super-welcoming staff. Food really tasty. Our dog received star treatment - dog-friendly is an understatement for the staff and the locals who frequent this pub! The live music playing this afternoon added to tthe great atmosphere. Overall, a very relaxed and uplifting experience.

The pub itself wins big for being dog friendly so friendly treats were brought out to our girls to enjoy. The beers on offer are all top grade looking to be from smaller independent breweries. On top of that, there is a selection of games and books for anyone to helps themselves too. The staff were full of welcoming smiles and I think they all stopped to greet our dogs at some point of our visit. This alone would have landed this pub a 5 star review from me but then the food came out
I'd have been happy with a plate full of the frickles with the delicious tartare sauce made a great starter for two. The mains were delicious the burger had an excellent sauce and was cooked wonderfully. My Philly cheese steak was 🔥🔥 cheesy and full of flavour and chock full of onions and peppers. Finally the seitan wings were again delicious we went for the salt and pepper wings and it was delicious.
Fantastic pub that has a full plant based menu. Our food was lovely, and the staff were very attentive. They were also extremely kind to a poor dog suffering in the hot weather and made sure he had plenty of water.
Quiet when we went but I know it’s a good place. They serve vegan food and that’s enough 🥰 the food was insane and fresh. The decor i loooove and the music is great. The staff are lovely and even have alcohol free !! (Pls get some more cs we’ll be back<3)
Amazing place if your taking the kids or dogs. Loads of games for kids to play. Family an dog friendly. Really really chilled an happy place to drink. From Edwards family who have drank here for many, many years. Well done laura. Xx
Great atmosphere with live music on most evenings at 9pm. Great drinks selection and tasty vegan food at good prices. What more can you ask for!
Went to see a live band. In this instance playing Cajun. Other genres including jazz on different dates. Live music I think most nights. Found listing on their website. Quite cramped, so need to get there early to grab a table. Was my first visit there and the clientele ranged from young, studentish age to the over 60s I would guess.

It opened promptly at 12 and I was there as soon as it opened. I ordered sweet chai tea £1.50 and the ‘5 a day chilli dog’ which came with fries and cslaw £8, there was plenty.
Then I got the women’s tea and the tray bake £3.50 which was a delicious chocolate orange slice with squirty cream. Again a generous portion.
The service was quick, staff were friendly, they display and sell art work (mainly of animals from what I could see) too. The place was clean and had decent natural light for a pub!
It is dog friendly; some customers brought in their dogs.
Unfortunately they don’t take card but they directed me to the co-op shop round the corner which have a free cash machine inside. Also the food was served on bright plastic plates.
Casual, affordable, has live music, seems to draw a younger crowd. I really enjoyed it. Had a vegan chicken burger with fries and coleslaw, which was good, than a fabulous ice cream sandwich. It's definitely a nice place to spend two hours on a Sunday afternoon resting up while exploring Liverpool.
After looking on the happy cow app it suggested a trip to this pub as it served vegan food that looked good, hearty and non fussy.
Most reviews on anywhere I looked complained about the hygiene of the floor and surfaces, it isn't great as it's is all sticky... But I visited being well versed what to expect, probably not the best to bring kids due to this!
I came for the food and atmosphere and I wasn't disappointed, the burgers we had were absolutely delicious and hearty. The food wasn't swimming in grease and more than enough portion size. You can pay by card for all purchases.
This is a dog friendly place, and for me an ex dog owner I was in paradise ❤️
