I had a burger and chips, i went for the chicken burger which was really tasty. For £5 you get the chicken burger with chips. Very fast service, clean shop and you can see all prices, food clearly.
Very good local fish and chips and a varied menu. Chips hit and miss due the the way they are cut and cooked. Uneven shapes which means some chips contained within the portion are not crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Steves is a car ride from our house so not our local chippy but definitely the best. Friday night is fish n chip night & we always get fresh high quality fish n’ chips. Staff are great too & the shop is always spotless 👍
Got fish and chips from here good portion size and quality isn't too bad but one bad thing is cash only which I had to go and find a cash machine.
By far the best mushy peas in town can be found at Steve’s! I will be returning constantly.
Remarkably good. Singapore fried rice was probably one of the best I have had. Takeaways can be a bit hit and miss but Steve's is definitely one that I would return to. Good quality and good value.
Brilliant chip shop probably the best food in the city ! The staff are really pleasant and always willing to help and provide a great service, this is one of those places you have to visit and taste their food you won't be disappointed.
The place was spotless, the staff are friendly (and patient) and the prices are great.
Ordered fish and chips for the first time ever.
The chips needed more salt and vinegar and I didn't get tartar sauce or a lemon, but that's my fault for not asking.
Also, cash only and the nearest atm we could find charged £2, but that's standard with most fish and chip shops and is obviously not the shops fault.
The mushy peas where so good and the fish was flawless, freshly made right in front of us and the taste reflected that.
Overall great experience here. I can not wait to order from here again very soon.
