Gorgeous place, we had afternoon tea at the weekend which we enjoyed. Not sure if cakes were homemade but delicious none the less. Beautiful building and design, interior decor (tables/chairs) could do with an update to match the grand surroundings. Very attentive staff too 😊

We didn't stay in the hotel part this time, just the restaurant for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was lovely, as are the staff. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful historic building with grand entrance and many original features would have loved to have a few drinks at the bar but does not appear to be open to residents.

The most exceptional place to have your wedding service. We booked this over 2 years ago and ever since, Laura and Sue have been the most caring wedding planners possible. They put so much work into making sure our day was exceptional and we absolutely loved it.
The pressure on any planners to live to the expectations of wedding couples is quite daunting I imagine. But it was never a problem for the Racquet Club and they could only do more for us. The venue was beautiful and classy, the food was delicious and the way they looked after all our guests made us very happy we picked this venue. If you want a wedding that has a historical venue with class and elegance and very helpful staff, you can’t do much better than the Racquet Club. Ziba was also a lovely space to have drinks and canapés as well!

Visited for a daytime work event. Nice building but looks overdue for a freshen up, especially the loos - clean but showing a lot of wear and tear. The food and drinks provided for our group was basic but that's likely to be down to what was ordered as part of the package. Location good for access.

I had my wedding here and honestly, the Racquet club staff could not have been better. My wedding itself went so smooth, and the buffet got SO MANY compliments. Even my fussy mother in law loved the Scouse. They had an event the night before my wedding, and cleared a room for us to get ready in at 11am. We had the family room at night, the bed was so comfy and warm. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
