We really like this Toby, pick and mix roast dinner with all the trimmings, lasting of gravy with peeling a single spud. My other half is Gluten intolerant so the very helpful staff make sure he knows what's off the menu. Interesting and amusing decor, plenty of space between tables and large car park.

Bit of a while to wait to be seated despite plenty of tables which just needed a clean, possibly short of staff at the time. Food itself was reasonable but lacked a good selection of veg on the Thursday when we visited.

The service was excellent,the two ladies front of house were so lovely and helpful,as was the girls behind the bar,the server was really polite,the food was outstanding,beautifully cooked,the meat melted in your mouth,will definitely call again when we visit Liverpool again

Great fast service, our waitress was so helpful and very friendly. Didn’t catch her name but she was hosting ☺️ roast dinner was perfect!

We always love the food, however on this particular day there were a couple of things that weren't up to the usual standard (probably down to the fact we went at 4.30pm so at the end of lunch and before dinner):
Stuffing had dried out
Potatoes were slightly burned
Ordered King Size and was only given one Yorkshire pudding even though it's advertised as having 2 (this happens very frequently)

Firstly..Leslie .lady on duty last night was so attentive..getting our drinks in a cheerful fashion...
It is a hard job all your staff are doing...the guys in the kitchen & serving too..
The only minor point was the beef was a bit chewy...but hey ho..you can get this...

i took my wife, eldest son and 2 grandchildren to celebrate my birthday, we had drinks at the bar, then had a roast dinner and a pudding. we all had a great visit, and the service and food were first class.

Service was great. Carrot and turnip available which is my favourite veg, I am vegetarian so the veg options are very important wish they would do cauliflower on its own rather than with cheese sauce though and wish the carrot and turnip was on the list every visit rather than occasionally

Local tobys to us. Doesn't require a booking usually, even during busy times it's like a 20 min wait if you just show up. Cleaniness is probably a 3 on the hygiene rating. I only go for the carvery when there is a deal on, so every trip is worth it to me. I would never pay a full price here though. Service is usually slow but the staff are friendly. be prepared to 10 mins by the till to pay.
