This was a chance discovery when looking to go for lunch after visiting Crosby Beach. What a wonderful garden centre that is so much more. An amazing gift shop packed full of amazing things you need to have or are wonderful presents.
We found the restaurant, a very helpful lady got us a menu as I was with a person with mobility issues. I was able to order at the counter where very helpful staff were on hand. We choose fishfinger sandwich and tuna and cheese toasty with chips along with cold orchard fruit sparking drink. It didn't take long for our food to arrive which was really good. There is a wonderful seating area to eat outside in a beautiful garden setting.
Meandering paths take you around the outdoor plant selection which are beautifully displayed. There is also a lake and a tranquil japanese pond.
We look forward to returning soon.
I was surprised at how big this place is. There is so much choice and the whole store is kept in really good order. The plants are looked after, and the condition is excellent. It's a bit pricey, but I think you get what you pay for. The flora and fauna are amazing. It so big you could spend the day there and they have a duck lake.....honestly. a great place , well worth a visit.
One of the best garden centres I've been to several times. Great choice of plants, sheds, ornaments and so on. Big restaurant though we haven't tried that yet. Haven't been there in the summer but can imagine it will be lovely outside.
Also, they had a great sale on out door clothes. These were branded, well-known makes and rock bottom prices. My wife and I bought several fleeces and a waterproof jacket.
Overall, highly recommended.
I've recently moved to Southport and went into the Lady green garden center to get some bits to spruce up the garden. It's so much bigger inside than it looks from the outside.
It has a huge collection of things to buy, not just gardening, but gifts too. It has scented candles and room fragrances, handmade soaps and beauty/ body care. Hand/body creams, food gifts, baby gifts, books and a few children's teddies and toys as well as all the usual garden things, including garden ornaments, furniture's, bbqs and heating.
I was incredibly impressed with the amount of things they stocked, their plant section is amazing, but it is quite expensive. You could easily get items much cheaper somewhere else (especially plants, planting stuff snd furniture) but they do have an amazing collection of plants (things that are harder to come by elsewhere) that are in excellent condition. I don't think i saw one unhappy plant, they all looked well cared for and really healthy.
We went on a day where it was absolutely chucking it down with rain, so we didn't get to walk round outside much (I did with my brolly before it got too bad), and it's so beautiful. There are plenty of outdoor areas to sit down. And enjoy the view.
We went for a cuppa afterwards with our little one, in the cafe and was impressed to find they have a vegan cake on offer. As a family who can't tolerate dairy, this was a pleasant surprise.
You can sign up for a store reward card, which we didn't (I got a leaflet which I read later and wish I'd read sooner/ have also photographed). If you sign up (£12 for the year) you get 2 cups of tea free each month. If we'd have signed up, we had had our tea for free! Well worth considering if you know you'll go once a month.
I've included some photos of the vegan cake as well as some of the things we bought and the menu!
Overall, it has a great selection of plants that are healthy and thriving, and garden stuff as well as nice gifts and smellies, but it is all a bit more expensive than other garden centers.
Good for a coffee. Staff in restaurant are extremely friendly as are those in the garden centre and shop. Restaurant serve alternative plant based milks but could do with increasing dairy free food and cakes. Great selection of decent cards in the shop. Always find a good quality gift.
Wonderful garden centre. The staff are so friendly, warm and helpful. Special thanks to the fantastic team that works in the cafe, always so welcoming and polite, they truly are exceptional!
We were going to Southport. Had seen the sign for the garden centre before so thought we might as well take a look. So big and well presented we spent ages walking round. All set up for Christmas. So much for Southport. We'll be back, though probably spring or summer.
Brilliant garden centre , stuff is quality, you only get what you pay for, food is excellent, worth spending a few hours in there, but don't get carried away 😁😂😂
I ordered my Cayman Bistro Set online and the following day it was ready to pick. Very pleased with the quality.
Very easy parking at the pick up area and friendly members of staff.
The Lady Green Garden Centre has a wide variety of gifts, garden plants and a nice clothing area.
I had a drink in their cafe with a slice of lemon drizzle cake and it was delicious.
Would definitely recommend a visit to this garden centre.
Amazing staff in the cafe. Courteous and polite. Food was excellent.
Shop floor staff were chatty.
Lovely range of goods for sale.
A couple of hours can be spent here.
