Sefton Arms

I really enjoy visiting this pub regularly with my friend. We've been regulars here for years. The staff come and go but they are always friendly. It sometimes gets a bit noisy but we're usually ready to leave then anyway. The food is always enjoyabl...you get what you pay for. I did have an issue a while ago however when my daughter and I had the hunters chicken and we both got food poisoning. I was extremely ill for 3 days, my daughter wasn't quite as ill as me. When I recovered I went to the pub to speak to the manager. He was a young cocky lad with plenty of attitude. When I told him what had happened he smirked and gave no comnent. It was clear that he wasn't bothered. More recently my friend and I visited and although there were plenty of posters about the pub saying that vaping is not allowed, there were several people at the table in front of us clearly vaping and none of the staff addressed it which was dissappointing.

We had a family meal here on a Saturday afternoon, 21 of us all together. I haven't had such a nice sirloin steak in a long time, not one bit of fat and cooked perfectly (medium rare) The chips were crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, perfection 👌 The pub got really busy towards 5pm as people were coming in for evening drinks but still a friendly atmosphere and not much wait at the bar. Didn't manage to take any pictures of the food due to it being a big family meal.
