Jimmy's, Liverpool

Jimmy's has played an essential part in supporting our charity and we've held many events here! Over the past year we've had the pleasure of working with the friendliest staff and sound engineers (special shoutout to Nick and Graham) Having the opportunity to work with a venue that is so essential to the music scene in Liverpool is very special to our 'Music For Mental Health' initiative- which wouldn't be possible without the efficiency of the management, especially Events Manager Luke! Anyone who has been to an event in Jimmy's Basement venue can agree that the buzz of promising new artists and atmosphere is like no other. It's not often that people of all ages can come together to enjoy artists but we have found that the customers at Jimmy's really come together for the music! Aside from funding support for young and vulnerable people across England and Wales, Jimmy's has helped us showcase some brilliant local talent of all genres. All of us on the events team at the Be Free Campaign would highly encourage holding events at Jimmy's and hope to continue our great work together :)

Great bar with good music. The pale ale was a nice suprise. Beer monsters you need to know the IPA is more like a Greene King effort - a bit hoppy but not the real "Big Boy" thing as they claim (see photo). Mind you, we stayed for a few more so calling it a nice sessional IPA it would be more accurate. Despite all the mixing and shaking going on behind the bar on a busy Saturday night, the staff are well organized and on the ball with their service. I'll be back.

Nice to see the building back in use. Very nicely done out great restaurant and friendly staff. However cant help looking back to the days of the Cabin. Grubby grimey and beer soaked carpets but what a great place Amazingly the cellar is still somewhat reminiscent of the Cabin almost expected to see that big fat DJ....he certainly knew what tracks to play....what was his name.
