Called in for a pint whilst on a cruise to Liverpool good entertainment comedian and a singer did not know was a gay bar but did not feel unwelcomed beer prices ok

Had a brilliant night in here after the Grand National. Super friendly atmosphere and the dj played some great music. The place is a really good laugh, highly recommended.

The boys who run this place are top people. They open up early to do breakfast for the local workers. The grub is bang on and cheaper than most.

Decent pub recently rebranded from the James Monroe. It stands out vibrantly on tithebarn street with its rainbow coloured facade. Drinks are cheap. Ladies toilets need some attention, no seats.
