We've been here a couple of times now, and absolutely adore it!
Our 1st visit was a cosy date night between me & partner, we treated ourselves to one of the Chefs tasting menus. They are sensational!
The staff, atmosphere are so welcoming & inviting, that you never want to leave!
Very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly staff happily talk you through their wonderful menu's as well as fantastic drinks & Cocktails made in their bar
Our second visit today was for my mum's 50th birthday, we took her out for a Sunday Roast and we were not disappointed! Gorgeous food, the sharing duck roast was beautiful. THE BEST ROAST POTATOES I've ever eaten!
Lerpwl is simply the place to be!
Awesome cuisine, they deserve a Michelin star. Great tastes and flavorful combinations. The deserts were not too sweet but very inventional. We enjoyed ourselves so much, especially watching the chefs creating all these wonderful dishes. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience.
We had the most delicious Sunday lunch. Every detail was perfect! The meal itself was exceptional, the service was friendly and attentive, the wine and ambiance was spot on. I will definitely be back to have the tasting menu. A big thank you to the whole team!
The whole experience from start to finish was amazing. Beautiful food, fantastic cocktails and the service was brilliant! Highly recommend visiting Lerpwl if you like fine dining!
Lovely setting. Excellent cocktails and creative dishes. We sat view of the open kitchen and could see the small details that go into each plate. The lamb tail was delicious.
Fantastic food! Lovely atmosphere! Staff were very friendly and helpful, always topping up glasses etc. Highly recommend the light lunch! Can't wait to go again and try the chefs menu. The head chef was lovely, told us where the food was sourced and inspirations behind the dishes. 5*
Absolutely amazing alternative to a Sunday roast! Had the set menu, which was definitely worth doing. They were able to adapt the menu for gluten free requirements.
Do not miss out on the oysters or duck!
80s classics playing in the background, staff full of energy, and great service...big thanks to George who explained all the courses, drinks and made our lunch experience excellent.
Would 100% visit again.
100% worth the price for the Sunday menu (could do with a couple more carrots 😅)
Great staff, chefs, views and food...what more could you want!?!
Overall the food was really good and the staff were really trying their best. The small issue for me is that the pricing is on par with well established, Michelin starred restaurants (£400) and unfortunately the service does not yet reflect this standard. Waiting times between courses (tasting menu) varied wildly. There was no beer flight offering with each course. Some of the flavours were repeated in several courses.
Overall very good and I have a soft spot for Ellis Barrie I wish them all the best.
Lerpwl!! a stunning eating experience
Well done to Ellis and your team, the setting is amazing, perfect, the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable and entertaining, the food is stunning married up perfectly with the wine.
It couldn’t be improved on.
Fabulous atmosphere and fun experience.
Thank you
Incredible food, great service. Highly recommended but be advised, the price adds up.
Had the Capricious Lunch Menu - 6 courses for £35. Incredible value.
The food was absolutely top notch and would compare against best restaurants worldwide. The service was very attentive and fast. I requested no beef and no pork, so they gave me an alternative fish main instead.
Every single dish (see my attached pics of menu & dishes) was fantastic. Was particularly blown away by how delicious the tomato dish with consommé was.
The wine selection was fairly priced.
But be careful, that is all adds up. With the additional oysters, wine and cocktail, my total bill plus service was £80. Which is totally fair considering everything.
My only minor complaints are:
1. The music selection was 70s funk - James Brown etc. As much I like that music, I didn’t think it fits a lovely light lunch and the overall restaurant ambience. However, I wonder if this is a Liverpool thing as another amazing restaurant I visited (Roski) also had upbeat music for lunch. The music was also very loud.
From my table, I could also hear the very loud blender from upstairs (presumably making margaritas)
2. The bread was only offered halfway through. Which was delicious. Maybe that is by design.
