Picnic Liverpool Smithdown

Nice small place for a quick bite in a convenient location. The food is made with care and tastes good, vegetarian options available, and different price ranges too. Staff very quick and efficient even during very busy hours. The only thing is that the last time I went the music in the background was so loud it was hard to have a conversation, if you go there to chat with a friend while eating something light. Other than that, no issues at all!

Had a shocking experience a few weeks back - have been several times as it's local and besides the food being hit and miss I still return. I ordered off uber eats for pickup around 6.30 and got the notification saying the food was ready about 6.55 I think so I went down and watched and waited while several orders who arrived after me picked up (which I assumed had ordered before me) but watched as people walked in off the street (full tables of people) and recieve their orders freshly made infront of me while I still waited for 2 wraps and chips without even any meat to cook in them - felt bad for the lads on the counter as they looked embarassed that I was still waiting there past half 7 and they told the cooks i'd arrived when I arrived too but for some reason my ticket got back to the back of the que. I was pretty annoyed to be honest but the food was the nail in the coffin - definetely the worst batch i'd had from there and I think if you can't keep up with the demand you should lock down any apps, as a slip in quality is highly detrimental to a business with potential like picnic - I won't be going back after this and am offering 2 stars for the previous orders. - Editing that I had a positive response from the owner via email and was happy with the outcome and have since been back and had a good experience with the food.

Ordered through the app, thought it would be busy, turned up 10 mins after it said so I didn't have to wait. The staff hadn't picked up the order and started it when we got there. Then I took the order to the car, sparkling water was still water, the coffee shake was made 10 minutes after the food order. Except for the smoothie being warm, not sure if supposed to be made with ice. Food was great as normal though. Thanks

Gorgeous food and value for money, normally only get the wrap, but tried the pasta for lunch.....superb. Lady on the counter was really helpful, place was immaculate, not the biggest but got a nice spec by the door and tucked in. Little put off getting a smoothie with the price, but all in all I highly recommend it.
