Went with the family for Sunday lunch, the food was excellent, with substantial portions and all the trimmings. This was one of the best roasts I've had in a long time. The staff and pub in general were very friendly and it seemed to really be at the heart of the community.

Beautiful little village which has so much history. Birth place of Dylan Thomas, a must is a visit to his boat house and shed.

We are staying at Cennen Cottages (also recommended; very remote and relaxing with attentive owners) at October half-term with our daughters (aged 3 and 6) and were looking for somewhere for lunch before visiting Cennen Castle. So glad we stumbled across The College Inn! Excellent value, home cooked meals and sizeable portions. We had Hunters Chicken (delicious) and Cajun Chicken and our girls had homemade Breaded Chicken (out 3 year old is cows milk intolerant but there were several things she could have) and Chicken Curry with rice (a nice change for our eldest who hadn't had much choice elsewhere). A huge bowl of "proper" chips also arrived and ensured we were all well fuelled for our trip to the castle. We were quite full but did check out at the dessert menu, which looked delicious. As there wasn't anything suitable four the little one we gave it a miss. Perhaps if there had been some sorbet (seems to be the "go to" dessert for those who cannot have milk) in the freezer we'd have been tempted - the only thing I can offer on terms of how to improve even further. Very friendly and attentive owners/staff and we would definitely go back. Clearly very popular with locals too. Hope to see you again when we're down this way!

Very good value for money. It's good that they are open wednesday to Saturday for lunch. The portions are generous and very well cooked. Our friend was with us for his first visit and was very impressed and said he would like to visit it again.

Went here for a works Christmas drink. 16 x lorry drivers. The plan was just to use it as the meeting place and have a couple of beers. The welcome was so nice we decided to stay for our meal too. The cook was brilliant coping with the short notice and the food was excellent too.

I visited this place for a family birthday celebration in a group of 21 people, and we were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the manager Jamie, who was very professional and friendly. All three courses were delicious and very reasonably priced. Every person in our party was impressed with the food. The manager (Jamie) and one of the waitresses and bar staff (Melissa) constantly made sure we all had enough drinks and were very helpful throughout the night, which added to the lovely atmosphere of the place. All in all we were very impressed, had a great night and cannot wait to visit again soon. Highly recommend!

Service is a bit slow so if you're in a rush don't go. That being said food was very nice, reasonably priced and staff are lovely. Portions are massive so beware. Will go again for a chilled sociable outing. Thank you all x

It was our first time here after hearing so many good reviews. We were taken away on how beautiful the food was. It is a must place to go if you love your food. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Just absolutely outstanding and Amazing.
