Carlo's Restaurant was recommended and it didn't disappoint. A lovely and friendly atmosphere with very attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. The knowledge of the specials was exceptional with staff explaining what was in them and the alternatives you could have. The starters were prompt and cooked to perfection. The mains took a little longer but were worth that wait - the loin of veal with lemon and Palma ham wrapped asparagus was divine. The fillet steak was cooked to perfection and served with a great selection of sides, Well worth the visit, we will definitely be back and get table booked as soon as we can for this little gem.
Wow, wow, wow! Having had the pleasure of eating at Carlo's last night for the first time, I can honestly say that I had one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The Filleto Gorgonzola was absolutely phenomenal, and the service and staff were exemplary. As someone who was only visiting the area for a few days and lives 2 hours away, I'd happily make the 2-hour journey on a regular basis just to dine at Carlo's again. Fantastic!
This is our favourite Italian restaurant in the UK - we visit twice a year and often base our visits around availability of a table! The food is sublime home cooking style almost (and I mean that in a complimentary way) and served in exceedingly generous portions. There’s also an extensive wine list at very reasonable prices. Highlights are the chicken livers to start, any fish special, the fillet steaks and all of the desserts (and I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth). I almost forgot the service - simply the best- friendly and unobtrusive.
The food was exceptional, we had the tbone and Rossini, the meat was so tender. The service was good too, very pleasant. Would recommend to book.
Turned up for a table for 4 without a reservation we were told 15 minutes and ordered a drink but was sat at a table in 10. Very efficient.
Ordered 4 different mains and every one was delicious. Massive portions, and the waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Would definitely recommend this place. Worth every penny.
Great food and lovely service. The nicest Italian restaurant that I have been in for some time.
Picked this place to go as it was close to where we staying in Llandudno. We had no reservation but when we got there it was full. Owner told us it be bout 20 mins before table was free. Decided to wait as we liked look of place so had a drink in little bar area. We weren't disappointed! This was the best meal we had out for a long time. Went with fish starter (massive prawns) and for mains picked two dishes off the specials that night cod and monk fish. Guys these were so good. Compliments to the chef. Its so nice to find a good authentic Italian. Staff and service were excellent too as was the Limoncello to finish. Would highly recommend a visit here. I rarely give out 5 stars but this place warrants it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Will be back 👍
Although the restaurant is 20 minutes walk from the town centre it is well worth the effort. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with a friendly service and an extensive menu. The food is amazing.
Always a great welcome, always amazing food, always great service and even nice authentic Italian tunes in the back ground. My mum's favourite restaurant. Garlic King Prawn Skewers are to die for. Graphic bread with cheese on proper Italian bread so yummy, Veal Parmesan amazing, Home made cheesecake out of this world. Price is fair but not cheap as portions are big. The owner himself works front of house and his team work extremely hard to keep the up the quality over many years of great business and even through the pandemic.
Service was perfect , atmosphere it’s great!
