We recently had lunch here and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The food was beautiful and worth every penny. In addition to this the service was exceptional. We had two energetic young children with us and the staff were so good with them. They paid them attention, were friendly and comforting which calmed the children down and made our dining experience more enjoyable but also limited the disruption to anyone else. We highly recommend this establishment.
Lovely local pub with fantastic food and the hospitality Huw and Rhian give is second to none you are made welcome through out your dining experience.. Sunday lunch is fabulous also .. highly recommend you take a visit to The Red Lion
From the get go, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is a prime example of a dog friendly pup. They really are fantastic with dogs. They bought us over a bowl of water and gave our Bo lovely fusses. We didn’t want to leave! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was excellent. I really couldn’t have asked for more. Been going to the Red Lion for a few years. But hadn’t revisited since the beginning of Covid.
Been back recently on two occasions for Sunday lunch as I now live a short distance away.
And yes, still the high standard all round. Delicious lunch, and always consistently tasty and filling. Well done 👍🏼
We recently had our wedding at The Red Lion, Llandybie and we couldn't be happier with the whole day. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout.
The food was absolutely delicious and our guests all commented about the quality of the meals, and excellent service. We'd highly recommend Huw and his team at The Red Lion for meals and/or special occasions.
Food was amazing, all home made and done right. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are really nice. Highly recommend.
Did not have food because I was unwell with the heat Beautiful pub .The bar staff were absolutely wonderful couldn't do enough for me checking all the time to make sure I was OK. They all polite a credit to the landlord nothings to much trouble. That's the ideal pub 100% atmosphere was brilliant just wish I could have joined in.Thank you all for everything you done for me. Definitely will be back xx
We visited this pub when we were looking to move to Wales just over a year ago, and have always intended to return.
It's just how we remembered it. Good food at a reasonable price, helpful and polite staff and a good atmosphere.
Beers not bad, too.

Excellent, high quality food. Good service and plenty of choice for all pallets, as well as drink options. The atmosphere is good, but it was fairly crowded when I went.
WOW, we took friends to The Red Lion last night and we all had a wonderful experience. Firstly, parking was easy. The staff immediately on walking in we're friendly and basically lovely. Drinks were excellent my wife tried a new flavour of gin, she enjoyed two! The food was just perfect. I had the Surf & Turf, the steak was blue/very rare and cooked perfectly, which is not easy, and plentiful. My wife had the Mexican Chicken Burger, it was beautiful too.
The chips are special!
All this for a very, very reasonable price too, just excellent.
To top it off my car's battery died in the car park. The boss (sorry didn't get his name) gave me a jump start too. Thank you so much.
