Great little shop. The work done on this shop is amazing. From a small corner shop to selling great coffee and now a quirky cafe at the back serving amazing hand made sandwiches and cakes.

We went for breakfast and booked on the day. When we arrived, there were plenty of tables free. The setting is welcoming and cosy. The food was great with large portions. Great food and lovely atmosphere. A treat for my daughter and we can't wait to go again. Homemade food with lovely finishing touches. When you have finished you can browse in the shop and even buy some treats to take home. Maddocks is now a family favourite.
My wife and I visited here last week as it was recommended by friends. I enjoyed the coffee and we both enjoyed the food. Nice surroundings and pleasant staff. The presentation was excellent. However I did feel it was slightly over priced.
My advice is park at the bottom of Tumble hill and walk up. (They do have a car park) You are going to want to burn some calories before you enter the shop. Who can resist those cakes!

Lovely afternoon tea, good value and nice fresh cakes and sandwhiches with plenty of tea. Victoria sponge was really light and fluffy and accommodating with a dairy free option on a separate board.

I “won” an afternoon tea for one person (take away)in a raffle(kindly donated by Maddocks) I love my food but this was huge! My husband and I shared, it was delicious!
