Riverbanc Llangollen Cafe

It is a great hotel. Room was clean, welcoming, just like on the pictures. Had a view onto the river. It was quiet. Comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was one of the best we ever had!!!! Lots of activities. Excellent website to local activities, advice on eating out, easy access and clear to navigate. Very modern in terms of accessing hotel and rooms with a code. The only thing I would add is to emphasise that you will need the code to get in even for the first time. We got there just after 5 and were out all day, my phone was on his last bar and I didn’t note down the access codes before hand.

Stayed here with my 2 kids (7 and 5). It is a lovely hotel and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for us and very nicely decorated. The view is stunning of the river. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and very filling. The whole stay was extremely good value for money and I would highly recommend this hotel. Definitely one to go back to! Thank you.

I didn't stay here, just stopped off for a break while waiting for a wedding, the staff where friendly and welcoming. The coffee was favourable and fresh. The decor was warm with reused wood for the furniture and the bathroom was interesting with a jungle theme, just stand to 1 side when turning the tap on 🤣. If I was back in the area I would pay them another visit without a hesitation as I didn't get to try any of there delicious looking cakes

We had a lovely stay at the weekend when visiting friends and the room was lovely. Decor was very clean and calming and very comfortable for the four of us. Breakfast the next morning was amazing and one of the best I've had. Ali couldn't have been more kind and accommodating, especially with dietary needs, and with 2 cheeky little monkeys with us that was very welcome! We were made to feel very welcome. The vibe of the cafe is fab and has a great outdoor decking area to watch the hurtling river go by, and the decor of the place is great, even down to the toilet...a sign of a classy spot in my opinion! Lovely

A wonderful little cafe and hotel - worth coming just for the terrace over the Dee river! The building is an old bank (look out for the old vault as you enter). The rooms were lovely and really stood out to us. Superb breakfast choice as well. Parking spaces in the nearby car parks were scarce (we did arrive on a Saturday) so do be prepared for that. Gale’s opposite was a nice spot for dinner 👍

This review is only covering the cafe, not the hotel. Location is one of the best in Llangollen, overlooking the River Dee. Good food selection, and drinks. I just ordered fries. Ok, but like they had been reheated. My wife had the breakfast bun with poached egg and halloumi. I definitely should have ordered something different! It won't however stop me from visiting again. The cafe is dog friendly which is another bonus I've included the excellent views from the cafe balcony
