Have visited the polkadot teapot many times for afternoon tea and never have I had a bad experience. Cakes are out of this world, sandwiches beautiful and fresh with great variety, staff attractive, pleasant and polite. They do not overly bother you like some places I have visited but are always there when needed even when it is really busy, which is most of the time. I cannot recommend enough. Will be returning for many years to come and bringing everyone I know with me. Thank you!!
My cake monster husband was craving some cake and shop bought just wasn’t going to do it. Treated him to a visit and we were both very happy. Beautiful fluffy as a cloud cake that was so fresh it melted in your mouth. He said the latte he had was amazing too!
Just had afternoon tea here. One of the best I've had. Good selection of sandwiches with the offer of more if we wanted. Unlimited supply of tea and lovely fresh scones with jam and cream. We each were able to choose 2 slices of cake from a wide selection. We were asked if we wanted anymore of anything but to be honest, we had to bring home a slice of cake each as we were defeated. Staff are lovely and very attentive and owner made a special point of coming to speak to us. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Best cake around. The staff are lovely and the cake is even better. They always have a great selection of cakes. You can even watch them make cakes while you eat yours. My son just attended a cake making class which he loved.

Nice place to visit for a cuppa and a chat, with wonderful homemade cakes to die for, mmm, we had booked an afternoon tea, which was lovely, but I'm not a lover of some foods which were on the plate, my daughter booked it, so unsure if we had a choice

Teapot, tea cups. Sugar cubes and fresh homemade cakes with a vintage feel. Always enjoy this place especially the China! Tea tastes so much better like this.
Wonderful cakes and such a nice cozy place. Always my first recommendation for a day activity with friends.
The service was outstanding and friendly. The cakes are all home made and yummy. Well worth a visit.
