Had a lovely meal at the Long now yesterday for my mother's birthday. There was 3 of us which ate off the daytime menu where meals start at £5. One had fish which they said was lovely, another had a burger & he added cheese & bacon again another winner. I had the steak which was £6. I was sorry that I didn't upgrade to a bigger steak. I ordered a peppercorn sauce which was also nice (for £1.50 you coukd serve a bigger portion. It was fine on my small steak but it wouldn't have been adequate for a larger one). I do have 1 gripe: your starters which were you £2.79, I orderd garlic bread. Now it did take a while for our meals to get to us but that was fine. The garlic bread didn't arrive as a starter it came with the main course & was the last item to be served againnot great but no issue. It was the price you charged for it. 2 slices of frozen garlic bread which were (barely) warm and had no colour to them. The tasted fine. You really overcharge on the starters-it was almost 1/2 the cost of my main meal & really not worth more than a £1.00. If I order off that menu again, I wont bother with a starter next time not worth the money. Our waitress was also great. Will definatly return!
My family and i all enjoyed our food. .i found our waitress was very helpfull ( Hollie) and the manager was great.i would definitely recommend this for eating and would suggest they coincides having a play area for young children.
Food was lovely, Service was even better. Second time we have visited and the Staff are so friendly and attentive. It was a nice change not to feel rushed out of a restaurant leading to a relaxed environment. Child friendly and free refills are always fab when you've got the kiddies with you.
We had a lovely 3 course meal, the restaurant was busy but the wait was short, no complaints the staff were frendly the food was tasty and it was very clean including the toilets, we both had chicken wings, I had steak changed my chips for a jacket potato my husband had a burger and we both had the chocolate Brownie, I had a large and a medium white wine and my husband had a pepsi all for under £45 for two of us, we will definitely be back thank you for a lovely experience x
Not been to a Beefeater for over a decade - wasn't particularly trying to avoid them. What a pleasant experience! The friendliest of staff, great service, extensive menu, lovely food and excellent value.
Call in today excellent service eat in the bar area was served by a very pleasant and polite bar man Ethan Edwards could t do enough for us also excellent with my grandson nothing was to much trouble well done …
Also spoke to a young manager there today on the great service we got from the above young man he was also very polite and a peoples persons…….
Sorry to say the older of the two managers disgraceful behaviour i noticed …I also work In hospitality as a manager and know how difficult shifts can be so sometimes you need to give staff a break 😡 when they are doing a bloody good job …….
It was busy but we had a table in the bat area. I had starters and main meal for under £10 and the food was so nice. It's a nice welcoming place, but I would advise you to pre book a table before you go. Staff nice friendly and welcoming.
Had a brilliant time celebrating my father in laws birthday here! Our server was amazing and helped us with all our orders and the cake we had brought. He was very friendly and made sure we all had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. Will be coming again!
Popped in for an unplanned visit. Staff very friendly and polite (we were served by Diane). Plenty of car parking and spacious tables inside.
Food was great. Served quick and was fresh and hot. Meals cooked perfectly.
The half a rack of ribs was huge!
The children's pizza meal is a fair size to!
Of course we had dessert to finish off a great meal!
Fantastic staff, really friendly and helpful. Can't say a word against them. The food is nice although it's not a lot for the price. I could easily have eaten two, and that would have been REALLY expensive. The kids' meals are tiny.
The food is really nice and the staff are friendly and attentive. We've been here three times now and had a consistently nice experience.
Very clean and tidy venue. Had a walk in breakfast which I do at many Beefeater restaurants around the country. The staff were very friendly and welcoming but the buffet was a bit of a let down. The fried eggs were far too firm and the scrambled eggs had solidified under the heater lamps. I feel a lot of food must have been thrown away that day. (Thurs 10th August) but they must have cooked for lots of no show customers.
